He'd better pick an ATG on par with Archie Moore if he wants it to count for anything, i.e. Pacquiao lol

Catch weight fights don't count so his real record is 45-1

Correct only casuals fail to realize this.
Chavez Sr. was 87-0 when he drew against Sweet Pea Whitaker.

Also let's see him go 128-1-2 before losing his second fight!

He needs to be a HW to break Marciano's record.

Maybe he could move up, and fight Jason Gavern in his 50th fight, and retire.......as......an.......undefeted HW!

up until 87-0 chavez had 25 world title fights
some of those were when there was only 2 titles (WBA, WBC)
then at some point 3 (IBF)
no interim champs, no super or regular champs...say what you will but his defenses werent as watered down like the ones today

Mayweather can only fight Canelo/Cotto winner or Pac.

I don't see any network (especially HBO) guaranteeing big money for anyone else.

He'll rematch pacquiao. The alternative at 155lbs for the lineal mw title will be viewed as too dangerous.
