I often watch the American and British version and it doesn't half look challenging. Physically it looks like a pretty impressive workout - very demanding.

The training? Floyd always trains at any time of the day and numerous times. Throwing in a few hours for dancing won't be the end of the world. Its only to practice routines. To my knowledge they start 16 weeks before the show and the show stars September 24th I think.

Focus on preparing for Hatton? Will it be affected? Truth be told Mayweather has never cared who is in the opposing corner. He trains the exact same way every fight and spars with anyone. Floyd leaves the tape analysing to his entourage.

At worst I can see it affecting Floyd because he'll treat Ricky with contempt and lose a few rounds doing so. Floyd will be in great shape and he can adapt easily.

As stupid as it sounds, this program is what Floyd has dreamt about for YEARS. Being mainstream, famous, adulation, popular etc He loved the DLH hype and he'll love this leading up to the Ricky fight.

If the people take to Floyd he may be at peace more than he has ever been. All these years of not feeling appreciated while inferior fighters like Gatti and DLH are loved.

For boxing its great for publicity. They will see the best boxer in the world. Another thing is, I don't expect him to do badly at all. Floyd has speed, agility, nimbleness, is co-ordinated and in great shape.

I'm intrigued. It was nice seeing Laila Ali do so well.

Floyds going to be the busiest man in the world with a world promotion tour, dancing, training and fitting in the random clubbing he likes to do.

I don't think its a good thing for Floyd, but its a good thing for the sport, so I'm all for it. He's my favorite current fighter (who's not on his last leg a la Tito and Roy) but I love the sport more than any one individual.

The training for the British one starts 16 weeks before so I'm assuming its the same.

16 weeks since I first heard he'd be on it sounds roughly right.

Why am I not surprised that you would say something like this? I'll tell you what, this competition will pose much more of a challenge for Floyd than will Hatton. I'm guessing Floyd will last 4 weeks before getting voted off, he'll then go on to beat Hatton via UD(he'll win at least 8 rounds)

you may be right, but he's still better suited to wear Sheryl Crow's dress. . . than Russel Crowe's Gladiator outfit. :good

If its anywhere during his training preparation for the fight its a bad thing. Those dancers have to pratice a lot to be prepared for the show. It will definitely be a huge distraction, and a bad move on his part if its during training camp.
