    this article totally justifies it...

    http://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/article/65987

props to the guy who posted this article in the other thread.... but all this thread means is that there is no doubt that floyd deserves 60-40

he sells more tickets at a higher price
    he sells more PPV's

there really are no other issues that are to be discussed.... when it comes to making the money floyd is the dude who does that... pac is good but he ain't FLOYD

and don't give me that... oh pac was fighting clottey.... pac wasn't doing these numbers when he fought cotto and that was a wayyyyyy hotter fight....

its official folks... floyd deserves 60%-40%... I wouldn't budge if I was him either

Absolutely true. I mean Oscar De la Hoya consistently took home much higher percentages of the purse against all of his opponents because he was the bigger draw. At the time he fought Mayweather, Mayweather took 30%. Nobody was complaining about that though.

But now Mayweather is the biggest star in America and he has every right based on the numbers to ask for 60-40.

He is totally justified to want 60%. Pacquiao should have took 50% when Floyd was being generous.

Floyd will probably drop down to 50% if Balquiao drops his ridiculous lawsuit, or takes totally RANDOM testing.

Can you please qualify your statement: Mayweather is the biggest star in America
Could I please see your 'working out' for why a 60-40 split is justified, "based on the numbers".

most of the *******s are either delusiuonal or aren any good at maths no matter how basic it is

you will get called a ***** a floydette now, because logic irritates them

if pacman knew he was the bigger draw dot you think he would be the one demanding the higher purse, and another thing i want to see this fight as much as anyone else but i know i wouldnt take a paycut jus to make the fans happy because when its all said and done that money has been earned for you and your family

oh ****. the floyd brigade are starting to justify floyd's ducking tactics. 50-50 is fair before as it is fair now.

Why ask for 60-40 in a fight that is already more fragile than Amir Khans chin? As if this fight needed yet another stumbeling block, Floyd now wants 60-40. Ok, Floyd sells more ppv's, but is the number really significantly bigger as to warrant 60-40, when he's fighting the fighter of the decade and p4p #1 or #2? I mean Pac is just as big as Mayweather in the boxing world right now, 50-50 is more than fair. Why further stall the fight with this demand?

If you compare their career PPV buys, Floyd is only slightly ahead. Despite fighting at higher, more lucrative weightclasses.

Also, Pacquiao is fighter of the decade, p4p king, and is at a size disadvantage.

Floyd is getting a chance to enhance his legacy against a smaller man, while Pacquiao is facing a less great fighter than he is who has always been bigger than him. To top it off Floyd has been trying to sabotage Pac's image in the media and is jealous as hell about Pac winning FOTD.

To top it off, Pac has agreed to additional drug tests at the behest of Floyd even though he believes they could jeopardize his training.

How can you expect Pac to accept less than 50/50? Its not realistic.

To top it off, Floyd's most recent PPV numbers, although extremely good, were waaaay below expectations. This suggests that he is not as big a draw as he thought he was before the fight against Mosley. So I don't see how he thinks he can warrant a bigger share after that fight than he did before.

why would he? what has pacquiao done & what can pacquiao do... to deserve to be paid more or even equally to mayweather?

see above... what has/can pacquiao done/do to deserve more or equal to mayweather?

    he hasn't sold more ppv's
he hasn't made more gate money

at the end of the day thats all that matters.... odlh was the higher paid fighter always... regardless of p4p, record, or difficulty of resume.... **** don't matter..

    floyd deserves more ... PERIOD

what does any of the stuff you said have to do with anything?

    fighter of the decade?
    higher ppv position?
    tougher resume?
    size disadvantage?
    sabotage of image?
    legacy?

thats all your points... none of them have anything to do with who is capable of bringing in more money.... which you are able to prove statistically....

floyd vs shane > pac vs cotto on all accounts... making more $$ of ticket sales, ppv sales, closed circuit sales
floyd vs jmm > pac vs clottey on all accounts... making more $$ of ticket sales, ppv sales, closed circuit sales

face it... floyd is the the shot caller right now and if pac doesn't take it.. teh fight breaking up is HIS FAULT

floyd is really shortchanging pac in this one. floyd has so many endless demands that keeps making the fight hard to make.
