Floyd didnt look any different . Guerrero is no Cotto!

Having his Daddy and his Uncle Roger training him is having dividends offensively(Uncle Roger) and defensively(Floyd senior).

 

Not recognizing? Look at the ****ing fight *******. At around the 3rd or 4th, Mayweather simply backs up, with no prodding by Cotto(e) and leans on the ropes. Not because Miguel cut off the ring on him, or was throwing punches to reposition Floyd, but just of his own volition.

Look at the 11th and 12th of that fight, when Mayweather started moving again, and tell me how anything of what Cotto(e) was doing was different.

 

:deal It's a difference in class. Cotto is a class above Guerrero. Mayweather is classes above Guerrero. When Floyd fights really good fighters (Castillo, Oscar, Cotto), he never looks as good, even when they're way past it. This is just what happens when you fight top level opponents, and not no hopers.

 

Cotto isnt quite what he was and Guerrero is better than you seem to think. They are not so far apart.

He give everyone a warning that he is fighting his father's game plan and is not to get hit. With Cotto leading up to the fight, he said he wants to give the fan what they want a toe to toe affair. And he was laying on the rope intentionally.

 

I think its unfair to judge a fighter on their one fight with Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather is a one off.

I think people are misunderstanding. The reason why it's evident that Cotto(e) is far greater than Guerrero (other than the obvious) , is that when Mayweather gave him chances, Cotto(e) could execute. In this fight, even when May gave Guerrero chances, he couldn't. But it was clear, Mayweather gave his opponent far less chances than in his last fight, period.

 

Of course. Cotto is far and away superior to Guerrero. Still think Floyd proved his legs are not shot and that he can box the full 12 round if he wants to. Good way to build confidence back into Floyd I think he was shaken a little by the Cotto fight he felt he should have done better in.
