The crazy thing is actually Floyd is very capable and one point or another demonstrated the ability to fight essentially any style he wants. I'm not trying to be over the top, but he's been a pressure fighter, he's swarmed guys, been a classic boxer, counter puncher, and everything in between. His timing is second to none, his ability to change styles and adjust in fight may be even better. Think of how different his fight plans are depending on opponent...from Corrales to Baldomir, Castillo to Gatti, SSM to Hatton, Marquez to ODLH, there is a lot of diversity there and in those fights you can see essentially every style atnsome point.

 

Best fight for floyd against manny-sharp shoot..just pick hard punches that will hurt manny every time he comes in..floyd will find it very easy to land when pacaquiao "amatuer hooks"

Frequency has everything, I repeat everything to do with who is classed as the better combination puncher. Marquez consistently throws the best combinations in the sport, he throws high quantity, and high quality. Mayweather throws low quantity, high quality combinations. Putting two and two together, Marquez is the best combination puncher in the sport. You saying frequency is irrelevant is like saying Boxer A throws arguably best jab in the sport, but only once in a bout, in each bout...whereas Boxer B throws arguably the best jab in the sport 30 times a round, in each bout. There is a clear difference.

Can Mayweather throw combination punches as good as Marquez? That's down to individual opinion. Does Mayweather deserve to be classed as the best combination puncher in the sport? No.

 

I find it funny how *******s seem to think Floyd cant do what JMM does. When PBF fans claimed that JMM gave Pacman fits in the first 2 fights the pacquiao fans claimed that Pacman had improved greatly and that was no indicator of how a superior counter puncher like Floyd would do v Pacquiao.

Well Saturday night only gave more credence to the view that PBF beats paquiao easily. If Pacquiao has improved greatly then its not enough to deal with Mayweather.

Does anyone not think that Roach would be worried on how his fighter deals with Mayweather? I think he will be going out of his mind after saturday!!

 

Mayweather can do anything Marquez can do in a boxing ring, but at an even higher level.

You can also add cutting off the ring, in which Castillo was excellent at, and Manny is horrible at.
