a lot of people see good timing with accuracy and scream SPEED!!! (Cotto is the best current example of this) But still, Mayweather is very fast and his great timing (which he explained would be the key against Judah) with accuracy really makes him a very hard guy not to get hit by
You just don't know when to quit do you Freddy?:-( Hopkins beats any version of Santos even now.:deal PBF has blazing handspeed not faster than Zab, RJJ or Taylor but faster than 97% of fighters in the sport not to mention his accuracy. He doesn't throw many combos at 147 that he did at 140 and under. How in the hell do you do this if you don't have blazing handspeed? This content is protected End of thread.:hi:
I agree with the thread starter and ive always said this... Alot of people think FLoyd has super fast hand speed but he doesnt.. IN terms of pure handspeed, Judah is faster than him and so are alot of other fighters.. FLoyd is about precise timing, he knows what punch to throw and when to throw it.. He's a master at this.. It's not about him having fast handspeed..
blazing is meldrick taylor, ray leonard, sugar shane etc etc....floyd aint on that level....floyd has something special, but it sure as hell aint his speed....his timing and accuracy are key to his victories, not to mention his ring smarts....but this thread is simply about his speed, it aint great.... and a few months before the pavlik fight, everybody was sick and tired of hopkins boring ass dirty fights, but he beat "the white guy" so now he's everybodys hero :rofl:rofl:rofl please man, he held the thrown fighting pretty weak competition and the known names on his resume were smaller men.....
Fun to watch, but it's a little like Roy's garbage man KO. Great fighters can get away with those kinds of things against lesser competition.
in his fight against judah the difference was there for all to see. judah is lightning fast, floyd is just fast. in his early days at 130 and 135 he did look alot quicker, he probably just hasn't been able to carry the speed up when he's gone up in weight.
