Floyd doesn't deserve 60/40. If anyone does, it's Pac.

Whi Floyd is talking about being the best p4p, Pac is proving it!

This has 50-50 fight written all over it though imo, Floyd squabbling over 60% will prove to me he is not really interesting in facing Pac at all!

I wouldn't agree with that. Floyd fought Diego Corrales on HBO with no PPV revenue, Jose Luis Castillo got a few hundred thousand PPV buys in his rematch with him. DOes that mean that Castillo is a bigger draw than Floyd or simply that the circumstances changed between the 2 events?

It is clear that Pac's drawing power has dramtically changed with the DLH and Hatton fights. Saturday's fight was his chance to prove that he can sell a fight on his own without a big name draw the same way that FLoyd proved against marquez that he can do it too,

If he did over a million buys then I can't see any argument to not give him a 50/50 split.

Nah, Pacquiao's legacy is set. Two years ago, no one expected Pacquiao to stop Hatton, De La Hoya, and Cotto, much less fight them. It's 2009 and Floyd hasn't fought a legit threat to him since his lightweight days.

no, you're wrong. its about who is the bigger draw. mayweather, so far, is the bigger draw due to the fact that he is american because pac is a much more entertaining fighter. mayweather was able to sell 1 mill ppv buys against an opponent who had virtually no chance of beating him.

you guys realized PPV count only counts the mainland united states, international ppv is not being counted. who make a bigger draw again?

Boring. Tell me when the fight is signed. Can't be bothered listening to squabbles about how much two multi-millionaires should earn. Who cares? Why even take sides in such a thing?

You forgot to mention the status & timing of floyd & Pac when they fought these 3 common opponents.

In determining whats DUE for these fighters respectively for their potential fight, their current value must be given consideration. Pac has bloated-up his value specially after his domination of cotto which is incomparable with what his value before.

when pac fought jmm.... pac were not as popular now & jmm was still unknown to many of casual fans. jmm become popular after his close fights with pac & when he beat juan diaz & casa.

when pac fought hatton... hatton's followers & popularity has declined substantially after being koed by floyd.

when pac fought oscar.... pac was still becoming a popular name. he just begun to be known in us after his win against oscar.

now, compare pac's popularity & marketability now against during those fights prior to cotto. there's a HUGE disparity.

Exactly good point. We already know Floyd's stance.

    "I'm not fighting for legacy".

"We're not fighting to prove to boxing fans, who the best is?"

    then say

"I just want to be the best".

And HBO don't know how many sales they have at the time a fight is on. That's why it takes a few days for the figures to come out.

The fact that the numbers aren't out already tells you that the numbers did not beat FMJ's. When FMJ and JMM threw down the rumors where flowing Sunday afternoon! There is zero chatter on the wire about this crap.

Get them stingers out of your eyes. Manny fought the same fighters but used the contracts and timing to either drain them or catch them AFTER Mayweather Jr. beat them. Cotto, he gets props for, but was he ever the same after the Margarito affair? Clottey actually beat Cotto.

You guys always hype yourselves up pre-fight. Then Mayweather beats your guy making it look easy.

That being said. Pacquiao fought Mayweather's previous opponents during recession! :hi: If there was no recession Pacquiao vs May previous opponent may have done better.

Yeah and he's also on steroids...At least Pacquiao tries to fight the best, all Mayweather does is talk. "I'm undefeated." "So and so beat so and so...but no one has beat Floyd Mayweather." "I'm not fighting for legacy." "We're not fighting to prove to boxing fans, who the best is?"

"Oooohhhh...I can't wait til I get my hands on him, I'll knock him out." Then proceed to pot shot to a decision.

"If I hurt you, I'm going to finish you." Then proceed to pot shot to a decision.

Tiger Woods walked out on his ass, it's that bad.
