just saying, floyd has fought non-latinos before...and did good numbers too. the ssm fight, the hatton fight....right now floyd has a few more options to explore. jerrmaine taylor, cornelius bundrage, tim bradley, thurman...perhaps even broner. all of those would be great matchups and a fresh blend of styles... a whole lot better than having to sit through floyd rematches with bunch of retreads like cotto, canelo, guerrero that he already beat.

honestly the only rematch I wanna see in boxing is lara-canelo...and lara-floyd when lara beats him more conviincingly second time around.

canelo-cotto will be big with the hardcore fans and the latin community...but if bradley wins his next fight and floyd fights him in may or if floyd fights taylor in may, the hardcore fans will be split between floyd and that guy on one hand, and cotto-canelo on the other hand. but the majority of the casual fans would tune in to watch floyd before they would watch canelo or cotto because those guys are not mainstream stars in america wheras floyd is pretty big over here and in europe too. so, it's conceivable that floyd could out do those guys even if he's not fighting pacman.

I really don't care who floyd fights next, so long as it's not a rematch....especially unnecessary rematches against cotto or canelo or guerreroi (yawn). but a jermaine taylor fight would light up the boxing world.

Mayweather has done 800-900k buys with fat undercards (by Golden Boy who wont do his next May) so if Cotto-Canelo happens on the same night with an all latino/slugfest fight how many buys u think Mayweather would do?? 400? 500? 600? I'll tell you IT WONT BE 8--900K buys!

hardcore fans that ive been talking too all have said they would buy Cotto-Canelo. throw in casuals. causals KNOW COTTO!! Cotto, Mayweather and Pac are mainstream. Canelo is not super mains tream but hes almost there already and fighting Mayweather helped him. ppl that only watch Mayweather fights saw him and most likely has countuined to watch him.

I highly doubt Mayweather would do more buys. most ppv's are bought by black and spanish ppl. well who you think the spanish ppl are gonna buy?? Yes sir the Cotto-Canelo

They're not fighting on the same night, bro, so you can just forget about it. It would be an incredibly stupid business decision on both sides if they did.

when i think "mainstream" i think of english speaking americans and euripeans...cotto has only redently started to do interviews in english, so he doesn't have a big mainstream folowing. I agree with you that the latino fan base is the most loyal out there which is why floyd generally fights latinos. but whites constitute the largest CASUALl fan base by a huge factor....that's ow floyd would do lucrative fights with other non-latinos.

floyd has already beaten canelo and cotto... also he does 2 to 3 times their ppv numbers. by himself he's a bigger draw than both of them. throw bradley in there as a precursor to a pacman fight, that is to say, to generate a comparison with pacman's performance against bradley, floyd would VERY easily out do canelo cotto.... a taylor fight would be sold as floyd's testing out the middleweight waters, not against the best, but against a standing champiion with a big name....easy big ppv numbers for floyd that would surpass anything cotto and canelo do.

I agree. Floyd doesn't have to fight a Latino on that date, but it have to be a opponent fans want to see him fight. I'm a Floyd fan, but if I had to choose which fight to buy on that date between Canelo vs Cotto or Mayweather vs anybody other then Pac or GGG at 154lbs. I would go for Canelo.
