I don't think Floyd was scared of losing to DLH, but he did lose the 1st fight. Yes Floyd got through with the better shots, but they were few and far between. The way boxing matches are scored mean it is quantity over quality, unless you score a knockdown. And DLH did win more rounds, it's as simple as that. If one guy punches another all round the ring but doesn't floor him, it's 10-9. If the round is very even but one maybe showed more aggression or landed with just one big punch, it's still 10-9. People who say Floyd won the DLH fight are not sticking to the rules. Yes he may be more talented, yes he may have been the more incisive on the night, but DLH won more points, so he should have won the fight. Anyway, I don't think Floyd was remotely scared of DLH, I just think that training for and then fighting guys like DLH and Cotto is too much work and too much risk for too little reward, when you compare it to the money Floyd made for poncing around like a halfwit at Wrestlemania. The hunger's gone for now. Hopefully it comes back for Mayweather-Cotto in '09.
Floyd only takes fights he feels 100% he will win. He wasn't confident in the DLH rematch, he wasn't confident about beating Margarito, and would never get close to a fighter with the Physical attributes Paul Williams had.
