He's had his contract for months now and refused to turn it in to the Nevada athletic commission. The whole idea of not disclosing the weight was his idea, likely cause he never planned to make the catch weight for the fight against the lightweight King.

He instead last minute, after months of a huge fight buildup that was already postponed once, decides to renegotiate weight the night before. Marquez and Golden Boy were backed into a corner and in order to save a 100 million dollar event they let it go on. If not renegotiated he would have paid 10% of his purse plus some kind of fine towards JMM.

He has officially pulled a ***** move that you can't compare to any recent major boxing event I can think of. If a fighter can't make weight but at least goes out and tries to sweat it off, sure no one likes it but you accept his body wouldn't do it. Floyd chose to stay fully hydrated and gain an even bigger advantage over the already undersized JMM.

Good luck to Marquez and cheers to the fact that there is at least one real man in the ring tonight. Cause facts are with the fight already postponed once and the bull**** pulled last night, Marquez is the man making this happen. Marquez is fighting for pride, family, fans, and pure appreciation of the sport. Now get out there and whoop his shady ass.

While i also dont feel the weight issues are going to be the deciding factor in tonights fight. I do believe this was a move by PBF to gain some sort of advantage over Marquez.

Cmon your boy needed every possible advantage over a lightweight. As far as Pac that's something else but you see them already throwing false steroid accusations so that shows people in his camp are already worried. But it don't matter cause his shady ass ain't getting past Marquez.

I guess the possiblity of calling Mayweather's bluff just wasn't there.

But I wonder if Floyd considered that GBP and Marquez could have just said 'fark you', and what would have been his IRS hassles be then?

Good move by Floyd. But what a dick move, all the same.

yeah a little messed up but then again im sick to death of these damn catchweights have some balls fight at 147 in stead of these artificial weightclasses. may the best man win. Shout out to Roberto duran for having the balls to fight fighters at the actual weight class. Bunch of pussies we have now a days.

Duran was a beast and one of the true greats. But you have to realize alot of those fights he had were with the same day weigh in rule.

I am buying this fight. I am going to drink beer and hang out with my friends. A fight is a fight and as a fan of the sport i am excited as hell about tonight. There are five of us throwing in to watch this fight. This fight will definently be worth my ten dollars.

    **** the recession!!!!

I'm buying the fight too, I think most of us here will be watching. I hope it turns out to be entertaining. This just doesn't seem like the actions of a world class athlete on this big a stage.
