You guys pay $50 for a fight? ****. And I thought £15 sterling was pushin' it. No wonder it's on the decline over there!
Real ***** move by Mayweather. I do understand his true intentions. He's realized too late that his body can't go down to the agreed catchweight without compromising his conditioning and performance (ex. De La Hoya). His fight weight is usually very close to his weigh-in weight. Even though he's getting fined a heavy amount, Floyd at least has given himself another weapon to ensure a win over Marquez and earn the mega fight with Pacquiao (if he beats Cotto). And he knows too much would be at stake for Golden Boy to cancel the fight, so he went ahead and decided to not make the agreed weight. Again, real sleazy but smart move by Mayweather. He doesn't get much respect anyway, so he feels like this move won't matter, he'll get a few more haters. But hey, it's all about the money, right Money?
While I don't think Floyd weighing 144 and Floyd weighing 146 would make much of a difference to the results of the fight (I personally think Floyd can make 144 easy), it's still a ***** move. More so because they had the limit changed to 147 at the last minute, blind siding a lot of people (Marquez included) and backing them to a corner so that they had to choice but to accept the change for a bit of money. Unprofessional.
