Jesus Chavez, Carlos Hernandez, Castillo, Sosa, N'Dou, Corley, Bruseles, Judah, Hatton, Ortiz , and now Guerrero were/are all in their prime. You could argue that Cotto was in the tail end of his prime.
I don't know how a 31 year old fighter who had won 3 in a row by stoppage and who was a world champ, ranked number 1 in his division, and ranked in many top 10 P4P lists is clearly out of his prime.
This is how This content is protected He was never the same since. Then this happened This content is protected \ Cotto's prime was beaten out of him
How was he shot to **** when he dominated his previous 3 opponents and performed admirably against Mayweather? Shot to **** is Roy Jones getting knocked out against guys he toyed with in his prime. You didn't see that with Cotto.
a one legged bum an ancient shot to **** man a one eyed, weight drained shot man, whom he ¨stopped¨ with the help of a biased doctor yeah, awesome 3 win streak atsch
But where's the proof? It certainly wasn't in his in ring performances. I certainly respect your opinion, but I saw Cotto performing at a pretty high level after the Pacquiao fight. He actually looked better in the 3 or 4 fights after Pacquiao then he did in the 2 or 3 fights before Pacquiao.
We could sit here and nitpick every fighters opponents. It's useless. He beat up on guys you would expect him to beat and he lost a competitive decision to a guy you would expect him to lose to. That doesn't sound like a fighter who's shot to ****. Anyway, I doubt we'll come to any sort of common ground. I guess we just have very different view points.
I think a lot of it was about opposition. To me I think its pretty clear to see that Cotto lost a lot of that relentless aggression he had before the Margarito fight, and once the fight started getting really tough he would get on his bike and move away, post Tony I mean. Its easy to look good against Yuri and Mayorga. He did beat Margarito in the rematch, and while its a little tainted because of Margaritos dead ass eye, he just stuck with a much better gameplan. He also looked pretty good against Mayweather, but again I think its pretty clear that he lost a step or 2 before Mayweather ever got to him. I wouldnt call him shot to **** like Mosley is, but he wasnt prime
