This fight had little to do with Shane's age and more to do with the fact that he was being hit hard in the face all night, literally eating punch after punch. Pac would have been in the same boat.

That was a huge shot. Doesnt matter if you think hes shot, which he isnt, the shot landed with a lot of speed and power. Floyd was hurt badly but knew what to do to survive.
