Manny has Floyd beat in stamina and power I think. He also punches from incredible angles and has great foot movement that may give Floyd trouble. Speed is very close, Floyd's punches seem to be sharper while Manny is more of a whirlwind of power.

Floyd has almost impenetrable defense, great vision, great reflexes, some pop on his punches and is probably stronger when it comes to clinching/leaning--if the fight gets dangerous for Floyd, I don't think Manny will be able to shrug off a hug and keep firing.

They've never fought anybody close to one another's skill level, which is why the fight is great and needs to get made.

 

The way Floyd's right hands were snapping Mosley's head back, I'm starting to think Floyd can really hurt Manny with the same shots.

Me too. I think he's controlling Manny and not letting him compromise. He's probably sitting there telling Manny that Floyd will eventually break and they can carry on fighting guys like Clottey, Margarito, Cotto II at 150 for $ million's in the mean-time.

 

I am going to make a thread about the evolution of Floyd's right hand. Hope nobody beats me to it. I am been looking at his past fights and he always had a good right hand but it was never as lethal as it is now. You got to think when he connects with it..He seriously hurts dudes. I think Floyd been developing it just for Pacquiao b/c his left hook is there but he misses a lot with it now and that was his main weapon back in the day. Now he truly focuses on his right hands and timing compulsively. On the heavy bag. .. on the mitts. Floyd is going to tax that ass.

 

If Floyd demanded 13 rounds instead of 12 rounds then I agree with the analogy. I do not think stricter testing is an unusual demand. Many sports started out with crude testing until more accurate procedures surfaced. Floyd is not doing it to clean up the sport. That's bull. Floyd sees a formidable opponent in Pac, but questions how a small man increases speed, stamina and power moving up that many weight divisions.

Demanding a stricter test seems to only bother Pacquiao. The reasons, whether it be bad PR or misinterpretations are many and conflicting. Amateurs take this test without incident in a much smaller time window. A possible ATG making excuses is very suspicious. We've seen this too many times in other sports. Whether the speculation is true can easily be squashed by Pac. He could say, yes I'll take the test, enough of your bull **** Floyd. That would be a huge slap in the face to Floyd.

Anyway, I will be glad to be proven wrong if a clean fight happens. Boxing needs an epic fight. Then perhaps these forums will have less nonsensical posts (many of which I helped fuel).

You would have a point if Pac didn't already agree to random testing up to a 28-day window. Manny doesn't have a problem with it, what he does have a problem with is the window. Why he is worried about blood being taken a full 2 weeks before the fight, when by Roach's own admittance, Manny only feels weak for 3-4 days before is a mystery.
