i thought so, who else would be comfortable making up bull**** just because *******s make up bull**** also. it aint about the truth for any of you kids, its about your transformer being better than theirs.
If Poochiao fought Cotto at 147, Marquez wouldn't have had to expose him as a feather-fisted Pipino Cuevas. A healthy Cotto would've done that all by himself. Just like a prime, not-paid-off Clottey would have, at 154, where he'd have been healthy and not had diarrhea.
I'm not a Floyd fan, but look at it this way; cutting two lbs is not a big deal, but cutting up to a comfortable minimum, and THEN shedding two pounds, can be an immense struggle. I'm not sure Cotto was struggling badly with the weight, it may have been uncomfortable, but his lack of proper technical oversight in training camp contributed greatly to his downfall in that fight. If two lbs doesn't make a difference, why ask for it in the first place?
I agree. But If you can beat a man at 145lbs, then you can beat that same man at 147lbs. It was straight BS and everyone knows it. And it doesn't take a FMJ fan to see the BS behind Team Pacquiao's agenda. These are the same people "Hatin" on FMJ for fighting Cotto, yet Team Pacquiao was also trying to secure a fight with Cotto...AT 147LBS
I can't agree, Cotto was boxing fine until the third round were he made a big change from boxing to exchanging. I think, just my opinion the he felt his legs going at that point. And, if this didn't make any difference it would not be asked for by Pacquioa and Roach. Why do you think Mayweather did not go to 144, he gave up the 600,000 for 2lbs. if it wouldn't make a difference I think he would have kept the money and lost the weight. That's just my opinion.
if the 2 lbs is below your natural weight and you have to burn muscle to lose the weight, you have to basically burn all of your energy store in your muscle and work out hard enough that you body starts to break down muscle for energy. It's hard to get there and then how much will be enough. How much do you acually recover from the punishment that you put your body through to get there. I think you should get down to 2% body fat and then lose 2 lbs. let me know how that works out.
pac departing against roach strategy allowed cotto to hit him at will. cotto got carried away and inevitably engaged pac. big mistake... even the great jmm wouldn't do that. pac admitted after the fight that he was hurt but did show it.
May fans be serious JMM has a better resume than Floyd. Pac and Barrera better than Castillo and Corrales.
If he couldn't forfill the weight or wasnt confidant in that division he wouldnt have taken the cotto fight, and i really dont see you point!
He didn't fought marg at 154, he ask cotto to weigh in the same as what they ask marg with. And oh, I'm pretty sure another poster answer the 2 lb question and I believe so its the same reason why they rejected to fight mosley before. Oh and i find it hard to believe that if cotto was at 147 that night he would have hurt pac. Fact is he was outskilled by pac, not necessarily outskilled but his style didn't go well and we all know pac was always the quicker guy.
Here is the way I see it, if weight doesn't make a difference why can't Pac fight either Cotto or Margocunto at 154? Why does he force them down... if he didn't and he agreed to fight Cotto at 154 I believe we might be seeing Pac v Cotto 2. It is easy for people to sit behind a keyboard and comment on loosing weight until they have actually been in that situation. Shedding an extra couple of pounds can make a HUGE difference to fight preparations coming into the last week. Fighters should be tapering down on training and recovering come fight week not throwing on sweat suits and squeezing off an extra couple of pounds. When a fighter is sitting with Hydroxycut in his bag on the day of the fight you no there are problems (Margo). Fighters like routines in preparing for fights, it not only affects them physically but mentally to. Pac fans need to be honest, there man has never once really stepped up and fought another man in recent years without some angle. Hence the reason I have lost interest in him as a fighter ever since he fought DLH.
