Ortiz weighs more than Margo and Williams did when they were at WW.

Would you fight the #2 P4P fighter who also happen to be bigger than you in your first fight back? Maybe he never will fight Martinez because also, he just wouldn't get as much money out of that fight as he would others. Maybe he is afraid he'll lose, who really knows?

Whats funny is people were claiming Mayweather was cherry picking the smaller Pac since "Mayweather didn't fight big WWs" Lets not act like Mayweather never tried to make a fight with Pac though.

I guarantee that people will make claims on how Martinez was to old at 38 yrs old thats why he fought him and Martinez would spank him in 2008 or some **** like that. If Mayweather were to fight him and win.

Mayweather would never fight a big strong guy like Mosley when Mosley jumped in the ring. Mayweather cherry picked an old past his prime Mosley who just sparked Margarito.

No win situation no matter who he fights. Only difference there would be slightly less **** for people to say. They will just cling on to Cotto and Margarito as there only hope of discredit.

Didn't he fight Ortiz, who is bigger than him? Martinez is saying he would fight both Pac at 150 and Floyd with a 164 fight night limit. Pac is signed for a fight already. Floyd: ..............................

Ortiz is bigger but not as big or as talented as Martinez. Ortiz was a great choice for his first fight back because he was the #2 in the division but still didn't pose much of a threat. Doesn't make it a cherrypick though, just means that Floyd is head and shoulders above everyone else except Pacquaio and Martinez.

    :patsch

Really, I've been up and down this forum saying Ortiz isn't MENTALLY PREPARED to handle Mayweather; especially his defense and you say he was a good selection.... Heavy handed yeah I know he has more power than Floyd. I think if Ortiz sucker punched Mayweather it wouldn't have taken 2 shots to put him down. As far as FAST, give me damn break. Ortiz did his best impression of a tree. I think you had blinders on, because I wasn't writing in Chinese.

I swear I don't understand how you "true Mayweather fans" can keep lying to yourselves. Did you take a blood oath to Floyd??? :nono:nono:nono:smoke

And he fought Mosley when he was old. It's Mosley's fault but in the case of Pacquiao/Martinez, Floyd's pulling the Leonard/Hagler trick.

Yes indeed, he maybe was expecting Berto to win, but a change of plans occured an the easier of the two left as the winner that night.

Ortiz was a good opponent. At best. No one is saying it was the greatest victory.

It was better than facing Khan or Bradley at this point and only Martinez and Pac are better options.

Martinez is the same age as Mosley when Mayweather fought him right now. Mosley wasn't to old when he jumped in the ring and challenged him. It wasn't until Mayweather signed the contract that he became to old.

There is no reason for me to believe based on the history of Mayweather fights that Mayweather would receive full credit of anyone he defeats. No matter what anyone claims before hand.

You mean the guy 2 weight classes and 20 pounds bigger than him? Floyd can't just fight him out of a 16 month layoff. If everybody out there is a cherry pick except a p4p ranked fighter 2 weightclasses above you, then you must be the ****.

and why don't pacquiao fight him?
