Just a few days ago, they were hard pressed defending Floyd for having a tune up fight in the UK. They were united in saying that if he can't fight Pac in the early 2010 because Pac is not ready (due to his political ambition), then it is normal for Floyd to have a tune up fight to avoid ring rust. Now, there are rumors circulating that Pac indeed will not fight until after the May 2010 election and here comes the Floyd fans going around rejoicing and proclaiming to everyone that Pac is ducking Floyd if they cannot fight by March or May 2010. What happened to your defense of Floyd having a tune up fight in the UK if they cannot fight in the first half of 2010? It was acceptable just a few days ago that Floyd and Pac might meet in the second half of 2010 (and hence the reason why Floyd needs a tune up fight) and now suddenly Pac is ducking Floyd because they will not fight in the first half of 2010!

Because if Floyd CANNOT fight Pac because Pac will not fight him, he needs to stay active. Whereas Pac CAN choose to fight Floyd in March, he just won't. Floyd's decision is purely reactive based on what Pac does. I don't even understand how these two situations are meant to be comparable of what point you are trying to make here. Mayweather signed to have 5 fights, one is done and if the 2nd is M.Hatton then it's pathetic and ridiculous. Look at Pac's last 4 opponents and he didn't have a 2 year break like Mayweather did. He looked too good against Marquez to need any tune-up, if anyone DESERVES a tune-up then it's Pac and ONLY Pac. If Mayweather wants a stay active fight then take on someone worth fighting. Pacquiao's choice of "stay active" opponent was Cotto since Mayweather/Marquez was postponed and he was forced to take a fight and stay active. Mayweather needs to do the same if Pacquiao needs time off and M.Hatton is NOT someone even worth considering, the guy is beyond boring, terrible and just went life and death with N'Dou and got a draw. I know some will say Cotto went life and death Clottey, Clottey is FAR better than M.Hatton and was a champion when Cotto signed to fight him.
