Listen this fight has been set back in the first place, Floyd could have made the weight, if he couldnt have, if this was as low as he could get with all that time, well that lets you know he struggled to get down, and some of you all here say he is not a true welter weight:think

WTF are you talking about? No fight no money. For JMM this is his biggest pay day. He also has bills he has to pay. Do you think the training was free? Sparring partners don't fight for free. Add in the rest of the team and you have a ton of people who's depending on this payday.

I'd like to see your ass work for 6 or more months with bills piling up and not get paid. So STFU.

I personaly don't see an issue with the weight since all this issue was worked out in a contractor prior to the weight in. I was responding to the ****** who claims JMM is in it for the money. Well ****ing duh. WHo fights for free.

 

i can't defend mayweather, and won't try. i don't think marquez could have "made him sweat it off" either. the weight i believe, was re negotiated Friday night. floyd is bringing most of the money to this fight and holds the cards: i fight at 147 or i don't fight at all. marquez HAD to go along with this. no one believe that jmm wanted this, and NO ONE believes that he just agreed with it. for a career high payday, he was paid off. simple as that. don't act like this is at all jmm's fault: he was bribed

 

I think your spot on. The whole secrecy behind the contract leading up to this fight was fishy. Now we get this fiasco the day before the fight. I think JMM got screwed over but he let himself get cornered. It's hard for JMM to turn away from the money after all he's put in physically and financially.

If anything you JMM fan should be pissed at DLH.

 

Poor JMM!!! I already stated he been ****ed badly even before the weigh-in, now this happened.

If this fight is cancelled by JMM, I am sure that the Floydettes will find a way to blame it to JMM just as they are blaming GBP for the weigh-in fiasco.

It would ****ing be hiarious if he losses against JMM but the only way I see it is if JMM KOs floyd. With all the hoopla about weigh-in, I won't be surprised with the judges selection as well.

What is it with GBP promotions for allowing last minute contract renegotiiations? The most likely scenario is that their is a clause for future rights in Mayweather fights. Knowing how GBP is a very shrewd businessman, I won't be surprised that they sold out JMM, considering that he is in his last stages of his career. tHOSE ARE THINGS THAT ARE NOT FOR PUBLIC BUT THEY DO HAPPEN IN FIGHT CONTRACTS.

 

Its a welterweight fight. He came in under the welterweight limit. If Marquez didn't want to fight at welterweight, he shouldn't of agreed to fight Mayweather.

Factor in ***** he aint been fighting for 2 years and was semi-retired. Maybe cutting the 2 pounds was harder than anticipated. The same **** happened when he was at 130 and took time off and fought Augustus at a last minute weight of 134. Corrales did the same after coming out of prison. It took time to get down back to 130. So there bitches, its a logical explanation for this. On top of Floyd working out on his time off putting on a lot of muscle.
