Floyd fans that say he beat Maidana convincingly... Will you buy Maidana 2?

Yes they are and that was proven in the ring. Rios is nothing but a predictable sandbag. Maidana is awkward, wild and definitely unpredictable with his ugly antics.

 

Karass beat Berto and was giving Thurman a serious run before being broken down and stopped. If it wasn't for Maidana you wouldn't be ignorantly calling Ortiz and Broner hypejobs. Do you have anyone worth mentioning that Rios fought compared to Maidana?

 

He definitely has a chin and keeps coming forward brainlessly and predictably, which is why he's a sandbag at best. Maidana has actual ability, awkwardness and a rather wild unpredictable style which puts him clearly and easily ahead of Rios in every way.

You can discredit Maidana's wins all you want, fact is he was the underdog going in to almost all these fights so overlooking these wins now is nothing but sheer ignorance. It's like the Hopkins haters claiming they all knew he will beat Trinidad, Tarver, Pascal x2, Pavlik and many more or they simply make nonsensical desperate excuses for these wins. Trust me, it will be a cold day in hell when Rios troubles someone in Mayweather's ability the way Maidana did.

I dont have anything against PPV, I think the primary objection for me and most others is the matchups. Paying $15/month and getting an occasional showcase is one thing, even though we ***** about that too sometimes.

Paying $75 for a showcase is something else.

On that note, I bought the first fight because I was pretty certain it would be a good fight. I dont buy into the "Floyd did it for the fans" crap in the slightest.

Depending on how Maidana trains I could see him winning the second. If he can relax a bit more, not get as mentally fatigued and thus manage his physical stamina better he has a good chance. If he can do that, and have the presence of mind to take a half step back and not smother himself after bull rushing Floyd into the ropes he can KHTFO.

Floyd is more past it than most people realize.

 

After the tax man takes his cut a Mayweather PPV is $84.00s in my neck of the woods! This may be worth it to many but not to me. I'm not watching Pac / Algerie either for the same reason. For me to fork out that kinda dough there has to be at least a perceived possibility that either fighter may win. I just don't see it for Mayweather / Maidana 2, or Pac / Algerie. Of course there are upsets in boxing and I could miss out on a huge upset, but I can't afford to take those risks with my money. I think Mayweather carried Maidana the first fight to make the fight appeal to a larger audience. The second time around I think Mayweather will win more convincingly than the first time.

 

Worth it to see nothing but a glorified sparring match? Worth 70 bucks? When 40 used to get you Mike tyson or De La Hoya in high drama fights with blood and KOs.

He didn't win last time against Maidana even with the pillow gloves but the homeboy Vegas officials made sure he got the decision

 

I personally thought the first fight could be anywhere from a draw to 9-3 Mayweather so a rematch while not my 1st choice (Cotto 4 Lineal MW) it's still a good fight at WW. As far as the Rios Maidana comparasion.
