Floyd fans when did you determine that Cotto was not damaged goods anymore?

I, for one, never claimed Cotto was "damaged goods" when he fought Pacquiao. In fact, going into the fight I gave Cotto a legitimate chance of winning it. I, like many people, thought it would be an incredibly close and competitive fight.

Now, AFTER Pacquiao beat up Cotto for 12 rounds, I have to admit that I started to look at Cotto as "damaged goods" and didn't think he could win against high-level opponents anymore. However, I think the move up in weight has been a very positive thing for him and he has gotten a few confidence-building wins under his belt. I still don't think he's as dangerous as he was a few years ago (the Margo/Pacquiao beatings have taken a lot out of him and he's not getting any younger), but I definitely think he's at a more comfortable weight and that win over Margarito in the rematch gave him a lot of confidence and closure.

I'm not displeased with this matchup at all - outside of Money/Pacquiao (which has been a soap opera of a fiasco for years now) and Money/Martinez (Sergio fights in March, so not really possible two months later), I think it's one of the best matchups Floyd can make, especially since he's willing to move up in weight to fight Cotto at 154. It's definitely better than Floyd/Ortiz or Floyd/Marquez at welterweight.
