If I am Floyd I am thinking... "Hell, even if I lose to Oscar, he is a legend, and I already have a win over him. I will get much more money, and he has much more name recognition. If I fight Cotto or Williams, even if I beat them, people will write them off, and say that they were overhyped, not that good in the first place anyways... I am taking the money, and the mega-fight"

He's taking the fight because he knows he will win, and get another huge payday. DeLaHoya has VERY little chance of winning this fight and everybody knows it. Easy + BIG money fight. Classic Minimum risk/Maximum Gain fight. That's why he wants it.
