Floyd fans: Why should Floyd get credit for beating a *cheat?

the only argument I could see is that they would say is "everyone else needs drugs to be good but Floyd can do it without drugs." But they can't really say Floyd has any good wins if they are always shitting on his opposition.

The Floyd fans were the loudest voices calling Mosley shot after he beat Cotto and before he lost to Margarito.

 

Read between the lines, dude. I don't think he's saying that HE would discredit Floyd's victory. He's just using the logic of 90% of Floyd fans, who unsurprisingly turn out to be dismissive of Pacquiao's ring success or attribute it to steroids. So using their logic...if Pacquiao is such a bum, or only successful because of the steroids, as they say...why on earth should anyone give Floyd credit?

Personally, I think both are exceptional fighters. Yes, I find Pacquiao's refusal to take Olympic style blood testing a little disturbing, but at the same time I can't say that is proof enough of him being a steroid user.

I think dangerousity will agree with me in saying that if Pacquiao wins, it'll be an amazing win. If Floyd wins, it'll be an equally amazing win. Both fighters are unparalelled at the moment.

 

Simple, if Pac is a cheat than that means his FOTD and all of his FOTY awards are fraudulant. That would also mean that Mayweather is head and shoulders above everyone in his era and that guys need to take PEDs in order to almost get on his level. In essence, because Pacquiao is the supposed to be the only guy near his level, devaluing Pacquiao actually elevates Mayweather.

 

I don't know, but I do know if Mosley got credit from the boxing world for beating down a guy who was literally caught trying to cheat than Floyd should get it for manny.

Manny has never been caught cheating or attempting it.

 

This. After he beat Mosley I can't critique Floyd anymore. Beating Judah @ WW was still a good win but beating Mosley was a great win.

Floyd fans always shoot themselves in the foot. They discredit the **** out of all Floyds opponets before the fight, then try to give him all the credit in the world when he wins.

but that is the beauty of it, we get to see if Pacquiao is a cheat or not. If his muscles deflate and he has a pot belly by fight night, well then there is your answer.
