I watched it live then again the next day The fight was generally a one pace sparring session but there were some very good exchanges near the end of rounds What frustrated me was how in round 12 Floyd hurt Berto and put his punches together and you got the feeling he could have done that at anytime but chose not to My problem with Floyd in this fight and Pacquiao and Maidana 2 was that he clearly used his defense to completely shut down the other guys offense but only did just enough to nick the rounds offensively He reminds me of Hopkins vs Cloud or any of his other recent fights where he just kind of reduces the other guy to nothing and does barely more than nothing to win
One of his "stable" (actually, it's more like a kennel) that already got nailed for the PEDs. It's gonna be like Floyd Landis ratting out Lance Armstrong. Looking forward to watching it unfold.
I like watching Rigo, though others might consider him boring. There's a distinct difference in the way they fight even though they are similar in theory. Rigo punches to hurt ppl and the other doesn't. The other punches to score, then follows thru that punch to clinch.
THIS. I've always asked this. He's no pernell whitaker. Sweetpea had the same defense and much much MUCH better offensive tools.
Cop: "If you don't confess I'd let you watch Floyd's fights for ten Hours" Suspect:" I killed himmmmmmm"
That's true. Even the punch stats reflect that. He always lands about the same amount punches as his opponent but throws less. But I don't trust the punch stat numbers. Its open to human error.
