    If at 147:

    Porter
    Maidana II
    Thurman
    Garcia

    ...in that order.

If somehow the obscure rumor of Floyd pondering dipping down to 140 to face Garcia are true, which I believe has a zero percent chance of happening, then that instantly becomes more significant than any of the other rumored opponents.

Personally I'm not all that interested in a Maidana rematch. Based on the scorecards I read after the fact, Maidana had no chance to win a decision. He didn't really have the power to hurt Mayweather, so I'd expect a more decisive Mayweather win.

All these other guys have zero name appeal. How do you put a fight on Mexican Independence Weekend featuring Thurman or Porter.

With Maidana, he'll demand more money and the opportunity to wear his gloves. We'll see if Mayweather caves. None of the other opponents will generate PPV buzz.

I'm thinking it's too soon to put together a fight with Martinez/Cotto. They would have only 3 months to set up a fight, so they'd have to be on it ASAP.

LOL @ garcia. Had more problems with 35 YO judah than Floyd did with the young version.

Porter is a good pick though. I am most interested in seeing Shawn Porter fight Floyd.

If I have to guess, it'll be Danny Garcia.

Garcia doesn't fit the Floyd opponent mold right now. He looked lackluster in his last fight and too many people believe Herrera won. Floyd likes 'em coming off a high-profile win(helps with the PPVs).

I have no doubt it will be Floyd-Maidana II.
And in this case, FMJ knows how to fight him and will win by UD.

Styles make fights. Garcia be a good scalp for Floyd's resume.

I just think Porter and Thurman are a little inexperienced, but good fighters nonetheless.

Ugh. And who has Jackiwiecz beaten to make him such a banner win? He's exactly the type of fighter that an up and comer needs to climb over to be successful. He's not even world class. A gatekeeper type.

And it was how many years ago? And what's he done since?

Thurman is good. But, the business side would prevent that. Porter is a bit more likely, coming off the stoppage of Paulie. Porter vs Thurman on the Floyd vs ? undercard is what really should determine which guy gets the fight. Or the winner of Kell Brook vs Porter. Garcia, would be outboxed, I think, but, the pre-fight hype would be very interesting. Maidana is the likely opponent. He already has the momentum from his last 2 performances, giving him a comfortable lead over the other possible opponents.
