Come on, don't compare Manny to Mayweather

Floyds chosen to take on the best guy available in his last 2 fights.

2 highly ranked, genuine welterweight contenders

Manny's just gone into fights, choosing to face nobody with a chance in hell of winning

Was Pac suppose to wait around for Floyd to come out of his vacation? Its fitting that Floyd comes out of vacation after everything is signed for Pac-JMM. They knew when Pac-Mosley finishes, team pac didnt know when PBF comes out of vacation. Hide and seek.

    You guys are pathetic

Do you have any anecdotal knowledge, or do you just rely on box rec?

Just to go through this crap quickly

Manny's first 20 odd fights, he was facing fellow teenagers.............

3 of Manny's oldest opponents have been in his last 4 fights! The general point

What's more "coming off losses" is meaningless, as fighters take several fights to prove themselves again

I will assume you haven't done it in more detail, as Manny has faced lots of opponents who have lost to other people within 2 fights of his bout

Morales, Barrera, Cotto, Margarito, Mosely, Marquez being some of them

    Well, it's pretty simple

If you're only facing guys, around the age of 35, who Mayweather beat the crap out of 2 fights ago

    You're going to get stick

What's the solution. Hey - hear me out on this. Why doesn't Manny try fighting somoene Mayweather hasn't clowned.............?

As in a top young contender?

What are you talking about fighting the "top names at 147"

Margarito was basically retired, and unranked in any divison when he fought Manny

Cotto was ranked 4 due to the fact that he had been pathetic for about 2 years

    Clottey was 6th

De la Hoya hadn't boxed below 154 since the 1990s................

Manny beat all the top names of 2006. The problem was, it wasin 2010

Please can you watch these bouts, rather than trying to score cheap points, from looking at Boxrec

Ortiz has fought at Welter 11 times, in his 29 fight career. He's bounced up and down between 147 and 140.

He's not only not new to the division, but he's just clowned one of the best guys in the division

And it's a better fight,by far, as he's not only a genuine 147 fighter, but he's one of the best

Marquez used to be a good lightweight. Until Mayweather beat his brains out in a humiliating beat down at Welter

Manny should be ashamed of himself fighting him at 144

He ducked the fight at 135 when GBP offered him record money to rematch him when Marquez was still at the top

    That's bull****

The catchweight for Mayweather was 146. 2 pounds up

He entered the ring at 147. Probably lighter than Manny will

    You guys are clueless

Mayweather and Marquez moved the limit upto 146, 5 weeks before the fight

It was an agreement they made.

The theory that weighing in 2 pounds less makes any difference is an amusing one.............!

If Hatton was young, and fresh, then Marquez must be actually dead.

    Are you serious?

Mayweather hospitalized him. Juan Lazcano, a lightweight nearly knocked him out the very next fight as well.

He was finished. Only fighter on the planet he could go 12 with was Malignaggi.

As for Cotto and a good win over Clottey? He nearly lost! Many people think Clottey was robbed
