I agree with May.Mayweather is the best boxer today.Pacquiao is best offensive fighter. But Mayweather superior skillz and defense will win this fight.Plus he is fast, taller and reach adv will give Pac problems.Manny does have a punchers chance. But I see him getting sharp shotted running into punchers and countered masterfuly all night long and even picked apart in the exchanges.I will support Pac in this but it's the toughest fight tougher than Cotto or Hugton.

Floyd has a great jab with reach and Manny has trouble against boxers with great jabs. Floyd will time Manny's aggression with quick jabs. Usually Manny throws a strong right jabbing hook to counter but I really don't think Manny can use that because of Floyd's reach advantage. If Manny tries and misses, he'll be open for a powerful counter right from Floyd. This might happen all night.

Manny will need to use his head movement and footwork to reach Floyd with combinations from different angles. The only way I'll see Manny beating Floyd is by outboxing like he did with De La Hoya then making Floyd frustrated enough for him to become a brawler. Once Floyd tries to brawl with Manny, it's game over for Floyd. The only hard part for Manny is trying to outbox Floyd for the first half of the fight and that might seem like an impossible task, but with Roach in the corner, I can see Manny coming up with a great game plan.

I've followed Floyd for years and I usually know when he'll throw a check left hook or lead right. I was calling those shot all night when he fought Marquez. This is because Floyd does have habits. Very effective habits that are great against slower, orthodox, and tentative opponents, but nonetheless habits.

If Floyd outjabs Manny, it will go to SD or UD for Floyd. If Manny moves his head, uses his footwork and agility to time Floyd's jab and counter them, Floyd will turn into a brawler. Remember Floyd won't be able to run because Manny knows how to cut off the ring, and the last thing Floyd wants to do is shoulder-roll on the ropes hoping to counter with his signature straight right. If Floyd does this, Manny should do great with a lead left and right hook combo. Manny best combination in the middle of the ring will be his right jab to the body, then straight left to the top and finishing with a powerful right hook, and of course turn out to avoid counters.

In conclusion, Manny has the advantage if he can use his head in the fight and if Roach brings a good game plan. The only thing going for Floyd is his reach, jab, and setting traps although he does have an impeccable quick left hook. If will be a chess match for sure and they are both smart fighters.

The events of these fights happened after he retired. You said fights that he could have made while at welterweight? All of those scenarios happened when he was retired. He tried to make a fight with Mosley, but Mosley was on vacation with his family. Like I said besides Margarito there was nothing really, and Margarito was caught cheating, so his legacy has been supremely tarnished, by after getting caught cheating, getting completely dominated by an almost 40 year old Shane Mosley.
Its just easy to look for excuses of who he didnt fight. Its not like Mayweather was a full fledged welterweight very long before he retired either. Hes still undefeated and now active, so his legacy can be easily restored. He has a fight in front of him which represents both big money and a way to restore his legacy so there is no reason why he wouldnt take it, and it looks like he wants the fight.

Mayweather could stop this Pacmania by beating Pacquiao, all respects rightfully go to the p4p numero uno, fantastic win against Miguel Cotto. This fight(against Pac) will happen, but Mayweather will do himself no favours if he puts up obstacles like money or whatever.

Yeah, I mean it's clear that Pac has achieved more at 140 and above than Floyd, but I still like Floyd in a convincing UD against Pac.
