Because canelo was chasing him claiming id fight fmj at 150, for 2 years claiming 150. Fmj finally caved and said NO, you came in 153 vs trout we'll go at it at 152, ONE less pound than the weight he completely dominated, outclassed and put flat on his ass trout.

You stated in your earlier post that there is no proof of Canelo ever proposing a CW. The quote has been put in front of you that directly came from canelo's mouth. Now you're backtracking and trying to exhaust any excuse possible. The fact of the matter is Canelo proposed it and FLoyd kept him to his word. In the leadup to the fight (during All access,) Floyd made mention of only bringing him down to 152 lbs when Canelo stated he'd go all the way down to 150 lbs for him. So obviously FLoyd knew what Canelo had said about him earlier.

He fought Trout the fight before at 153 lbs. SO let's not make this out to be some kind of severe weight draining situation. He came into the fight 1 lb less than he did with Austin Trout.

 

It's all about defending your belt against the contender who has earned mandatory status 👍🏼
