So what if Pac gets countered? That's not a big deal for Pac.. He'll come back for more.. I wonder if Floyd's defense can hold Manny's offense for a long time.. :smoke

and are we forgetting about pac being southpaw?? that should roll defense against the ropes on a southpaw is pretty much suicide LOL.

Floyd will probably try to go toe-to-toe with Manny now in a way he wouldn't have dared to do in 2009 because he thinks Manny has slowed down now, but after he eats a couple of straight shots he'll be in flight mode. Mayweather's chin is overrated and he'll hate Manny's power, whereas Floyd's punches will have no real effect on Pac. They'll snap his head back when they land, but Pac is an iron man and will just brush them off and keep coming.

As if Manny will run around against Floyd..

Manny would take Floyd's best shot and return it in double or maybe even triple.. :smoke

Everyone on this board was sayin, Floyd will walk down Cotto.

    That was some dumb ****.

I knew 100% that **** was not going to happen. You can't believe every word a person says.

YOu got to use your ability to reason and think.

Cotto, too, is a dangerous and capable counterpuncher. I knew Floyd wasn't going to give up his superior defense/boxing ability to try to walk Cotto down and take shots in the process.

What I didn't KNOW, was that Mayweather would be stuck against the ropes for such a long duration, and honestly, I doubt Mayweather planned on being in that position for that long.

Cotto just forced him back there...

So to me, there are still questions regarding Mayweather's legs.

I don't know if they're still there. If they really are gone, Pacquiaos chances went up considerably, and I can see why Mayweather's team may want no part of him.

Either way, Mayweather is going to get busted up and take some shots. Even if it's a few.

But it's defenitely a fight Mayweather should win if he boxes smart and still has his legs.

If he doesn't, man, it will be a LONG night.

It will up close bc on the inside the Southpaw advantage isn't there anymore bc most of the times they are squared up. Floyd will use the high guard majority of the time against Manny anyways.

My point is, Mayweather doesn't have the punch that would put Pac to sleep.. :deal

Pac has the chin to withstand a Mayweather counter punch.. :hey

Mayweather would counter him all night but at some point, it'll end in a trade.. Then it all boils down to who's got the better chin and ho's got the harder punch..

You beat Floyd only if you take risks.. :smoke

This fight has to happen. Before the other night, I didn't think Manny had a chance.

Now, if Mayweather really doesn't have his legs and is in the habit of backing up against the ropes, I think Manny can take this fight and knock Floyd out in the process.

I agree with posters that say Martinez is the most dangerous opponent, but man...we've been waitin for Pac vs Mayweather for YEARS now.

    It needs to happen.

Floyd would not fight Manny like he fought Cotto...he would counter Pac all night...he has the bigger shoulders, the longer reach, the better footwork, etc etc...
