    From Yahoo.

He’s (Floyd) taken grief for what some perceive as a failure to fight the greatest competition. He was accused of ducking Manny Pacquiao when the two began negotiating a bout at the end of 2009 that would have broken all of boxing’s ticket-sale and pay-per-view revenue records.

But the second the Pacquiao fight fell through for good, in a dispute over whether the fighters would agree to random drug testing, Mayweather placed a call to Ellerbe.

It was a short call with a direct request.

“He just said, ‘Get me Mosley,’ ” Ellerbe said.

Is Floyd fully aware that Mosley has a signed contract to fight Andre Berto at that time? :D I don't believe it that Floyd specifically ordered the Mosley fight right after the failed Pacquiao-Floyd fight negotiation. :D

Quote taken completely out of context. Floyd wasn't talking about a fight, he just needed someone to take his suit to the dry cleaners...

So Floyd was actually looking for "Mosley", his driver?

If Floyd really did that then probably they bought out Andre Berto with some step aside money.

Hadn't the Mosley/Berto fight been called off at this point?

Yours is not a popular prediction. The most probable outcome are, Floyd winning via a boring UD and possibly Mosley knocking out Floyd.

IMO, Mosley knocking out Floyd is more probable than Floyd knocking out Mosley.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to hit Shane Molsey with three straight right hands in a row, like he did Philip N'Dou.

So you think Berto just used the Haiti earthquake which left 8 family members dead as an excuse for puliing out of the fight, rather than say "I've been paid to step aside for this one"?

    :patsch

Don't be silly. Floyd paid for the earthquake as well.

Ahh OK, then Mosley will kiss the canvass after being hit by 3 straight right hands? :?

Last 3 KOs scored by Mosley: Margarito, Mayorga and Vargas.

Last 3 KOs scored by Floyd: Hatton, Mitchell and Gatti (RIP).

I can visualize Mosley knocking out Hatton, Mitchell and Gatti but I can't see Floyd knocking out Margarito, Mayorga or Vargas.

Did you guys read my 1st post of this thread? I don't believe Floyd ordered the Mosley fight. :D

It's just a speculation that he paid Berto IF he really ordered the Mosley fight. Like Floyd said "Get me Mosley. Just pay Berto". :rofl

Floyd can't get a Mosley fight at that point since Mosley has a signed contract to fight Berto.

Really it not so crazy, fighter pay other fighter all the time to step aside. Case in point Vitali vs Lewis.. Vitali and lewis both were schedule different when lewis fight fell through he called for Vitali.
