It's not cool telling a lie... I dunno about you.

If they're trying to portray Floyd now as one who seeks the toughest fights out there then it fail miserably. Just look at Floyd's previous opponents, it says a lot about his choice of opponents. Isn't it Floyd heavily criticized for ducking the toughest opponents? He even went into retirement twice just to avoid those tough challenges.

I felt Berto was paid off by GBP.
Mayweather was being helped by GBP in the Pac fight. They realized they had no real control and Floyd didn't want to fight anyway. So they formulated a plan. Mayweather Vs Mosely. The next biggest fight but complete control with "rematch clause". Which it will even be a big if not HUGE fight itself.

It's not impossible, I could see it happening, but if it had gone down that way then Mosley would have described it that way throughout his interviews. Instead, he's consistently said "He didn't want this fight, he was backed into a corner." Mosley gives respect where it's due, and he hasn't shown Floyd any in terms of initiating the bout, so I'm inclined to believe ellerbe is exaggerating.

I've been saying: This was more about money & Arum's Top Rank vs DLH's GBP. Think about it: negotiations fell through, so Pacquiao vs Clottey was the Top Rank in-house event. Mayweather vs Mosley is the GBP in-house fight. In the end, GBP wins. Why? Clottey is difficult to "look good" against, & that's exactly what happened. Pacquiao vs Clottey will most definitely make less than Mayweather vs Mosley if only for the fact that Pacquiao vs Clottey was a fight with only 1 superstar. Meanwhile, people who weren't fans of Pacquiao to begin with are now "convinced" he's a "cheater" based on Sr.'s conjecture, casting doubt on Pacquiao's legitimacy, record, & legacy, & the bigger money is being made by GBP.

After Mayweather vs Mosley, GBP will have more leverage in negotiating a fight with Pacquiao because they will have already established a WADA blood testing precedent (despite it not being adopted by the NSAC) & they have the best big-money options for a match-up. And if GBP decides to make Mayweather vs Mosley II happen via rematch clause before making a fight with Pacquiao, their negotiating leverage against Top Rank increases even more.

Taking that into account, it's possible we won't see Mayweather or Mosley vs Pacquiao until 2011.

Arum walking away from the negotiations with GBP marked Pacquiao's downturn, at least business-wise.

As I've pointed out earlier, I don't believe Floyd or Ellerbe. I'm more inclined to believe Mosley's point of view that Floyd was forced or cornered to fight him.

yeah except for those times that Mosley ran from a fight with Mayweather. Out of all of those posts how many don't have the word void in them?

Was the Corrales fight boring, how about the Judah fight, or maybe the 2 Castillo fights, The Gatti fight....It's funny how people get pissed cause a guy won't go into the ring and just stand there in front of his opponet ant let him beat the **** out of him. I thought the object of boxing was to hit & not get hit. Yet when a guy does this he gets ragged on. Now there are fighters with more crowd pleasing styles but damn they take Waaaaay to much punishment but I can appreciate that style as well.

The only fighter I ever blamed Floyd for not fighting was Kostya Tszyu. And, to be honest, I really don't even hold that against him because a Tszyu fight wouldn't have landed him the pay or the exposure that the Gatti fight did. Floyd has fought everybody he was supposed to.

It would have landed him the lineal title at 140. It would have been an amazing accomplishment on his resume. Instead he fought Gatti. Who'd already had his arse kicked several times.

Floyd doesn't give a **** about lineal titles and legacy. He made twice as much fighting Gatti as he would have fighting Tszyu, and that is all that matters to him.

Get me Mosley, now that he's damn near 40, hasn't fought in about two years, and is shot to pieces
