Seriously, though. Comments from PBF on 24/7 like "You almost 40, you dumb mother****er. You better be fighting for money!" & a comment along the lines of taking Mosley into the late rounds because, at his age, he most likely will fade late, don't help his story that he never ducked a *prime* Mosley.

 

this is quite false. first floyd tried to secure a fight with matt hatton, then nate campbell, than GB wanted to match Cintron with Floyd.

Then we heard Mosley said floyd was cornered and got forced into this fight by GB and HBO.

so who you gonna believe - a straight shooter like Shane or a pair of pathological liars in floid and ellerbe?

this is spin control tyrying to gain back some psychologicall edge which was lost. and to try to make Shane less confident going into the fight.

I like how people claim he's only fighting Mosley because Shane is old or shot yet 6 months ago they were claiming that Mayweather was scared of him when he turned down a fight with him to face Pacquiao.

 

Yeah Floyd always gets forced or bullied, pulls a punk move, flashes money, beats women etc... Doesn't it get tiresome being phony day in and day out lol...

 

The Kostya fight was never talked about as Kostya was fighting only once a year. No real talks took place. Floyd had a couple of fights at 140 while Kostya was really waiting for the Hatton fight.

If your not blinded by crazy Mayweather hate then you would understand that this is very possible. Mayweather fights for big paydays. Mosley was the biggest payday available. Mayweather is now fighting Mosley, its not rocket science. Plus the fact that Mosley did a great job by hyping up the fight and creating this buzz by jumping in the ring after the Mayweather-JMM fight disrespecting Mayweather and calling him out nationally in front of millions of viewers.

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer says that unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. (40-0, 25 KO’s) is willing to take the fight against World Boxing Association welterweight champion Shane Mosley (46-5, 39 KO’s). In an article at the Los Angeles Times, Schaefer said “At 147, the man to beat is ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley. Floyd Will take that fight, and will shut up all those [boxing fans] who are saying he’s a coward.”

Although Schaefer says that Mayweather is willing to fight Mosley, Floyd still has to fight an alternate opponent for March 13th, because his mega fight with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao fell through because of the random blood testing that Mayweather was insisting on for the fight.

Before Mayweather can fight Mosley, though, Shane must first get by his next fight, a January 30th unification bout against World Boxing council welterweight champion Andre Berto.

 

Doesn't matter. Floyd should have initiated talks.

 

it's pathetic, and they don't realise how dumb they're making themselves look. it's not like mosley just aged over night, it's not like shane was 25 years old when floyd beat marquez and the board was full of floyd is too scared to fight shane, but then suddenly floyd accepted the challenge, so the dumb people then have to think " wow, we have to come up with a negative reaction over a positive reaction from floyd, and that reaction is age".

like i said, they're dumb. they must of knew shane's age prior to all the floyd is scared bull****, and if they didn't, then they shouldn't be on a boxing board to begin with.

hey guys atleast floyd is fighting shane at 147, not the 142 pacquiao's team demanded, and even when shane accepted that, they ran.

 

Mosley could have fought and beat Berto and the Mayweather fight could have still happened on May 1st.
