Me thinks that this floyd "injury" is a way to get marquez to fight someone else while PBF's "injury heals" so he can fight cotto. Maybe clottey's close
fight with Cotto gave floyd the stones he needed to finally get it on with
a welterweight. Who's really a welterweight. This pullout is about business. Since that's the case. Floyd v. Cotto in december, and marquez can now finish his business with the man he really wants anyway.

    Manny pacquiao

    Doubt it.

Floyd will want the Marquez fight - I'd not be surprised if it's rescheduled in the next couple of weeks and probably only be a 6 to 8 week postponement. It's a good fight for Floyd to take coming back into boxing.

I was thinking the same thing. After an uninspiring performance by Cotto, Mayweather suddenly develops an injury. Now that Cotto looks very beatable maybe PBF thinks that targeting him for a $20million payday will be worlds more respectable than beating up little JMM for $15million with disappointing ticket sales to boot. Fighting Cotto he would have not only a bigger payday and garner more respect he would get far more leverage in a future Pacquiao bout.

JMM has never been a draw by himself and PBF suffers from the same problem. He needs Cotto to give him more leverage in any Pacquiao negotiations. Furthermore, if he takes that WBO belt off of Cotto he could force Pacquiao up to 147 and make it a title fight for icing on the cake.

IF you think Mayweather needed to see Cotto in a close fight with Clottey to feel like he can he can beat Cotto then you have no idea what you are thinking.

    He watched Cotto quit once...

The fight is still on and just postponed. Don't think Mayweather bothers how bad Cotto looked fighting Clottey, their main targets are Pacquiao or Mosley after Marquez as already reported.

I seriously doubt that. Besides, Mayweather fought Baldomir and Judah, both real welterweights with Judah being the undisputed champion at one point. He also fought De La Hoya at 154 . Mayweather may be obnoxious but I doubt that he is truly afraid to face anyone.

If that's true it's a good move on Floyd's part because plenty people are going to flock to this fight and I think it will ge a fairly easy fight for mayweather to win.

It seems his loud mouth proclaiming he's the "Cash Cow" back fired at him.
