Who exactly do you classsify as ATG's since Pernell and Chavez Sr stopped fighting? By my calculations, the only TRUE ATG's since than are ROy Jones Jr, Bernard Hopkins, Manny Pacquiao and FLoyd Mayweather.

SO who exactly did FLoyd avoid/duck during his career that was a prime ATG that was campaigning in and around his weight class?

Do you consider Naseem Hamed an ATG? I sure don't, and I also don't think he ever fancied a shot with Floyd at a CW of 128.

How about Frietas or casamayor? Either of them ATG's? Casa was a helluva slickster and one of my favorite fighters of the late 90's/early 2000's, but it didn't look like him or Frietas wanted anything to do with Mayweather at 135 lbs. Still, neither of those 135 lb champs are ATG's, point blank.

So who else, Kostya maybe at 140 lbs? At the time KOstya was a fading 140 lb fighter when FLoyd was at the tail end of his campaign at 135 lbs. It was around the time he moved up to 140 lbs when Hatton beat Kostya for the lineal championship. Now is Kostya an ATG? That's highly debatable but FLoyd would've never had an opportunity to face a PRIME version of him. By the time FLoyd was finishing off his time at 135, Kostya was past it. Also, neither man was considered a PPV fighter, so it would be inane to think Showtime (kostya's network,) and HBO (FLoyd's,) would hold a dual PPV event ala Tyson or Manny-Floyd.

So what other ATG's are there at this juncture- say at 147? Is Paul WIlliams an ATG? How about Antonio Margarito? Not only is neither guy an ATG, neither guy would give FLoyd the exposure and monetary benefits in comparing them with the likes of De La Hoya and Hatton.

So who else am I missing here? What prime ATG's have there been from 130-154 that Floyd meticulously avoided throughout his career? the only guy was Manny P, a fight that should've materialized 5 years ago. At least the fight went off, and both men still had plenty left in their tanks (Pacman was looking very sharp after the JMM KO and did a nice job for the next 2 years resurrecting his career.)

So this idea that Floyd avoided prime ATG's is just stupid since none existed for him to fight against. He could never fight ROy JOnes, Ceasar Chavez sr or Whitaker in the 90's and the one guy that is classified as a true ATG in and around his weightclass, he's already beaten.

Thank you for proving my point they all had no issue fighting him he was,someone but to Floyd he didn't exist

And what fighters did he dominate as heavy as 165 ?
