Russell had the better team. When Wilt had that great Philadelphia team around him, they ran over the Celtics. I saw them play against each other. Wilt owned Russell. Check out their stats against each other.

    Stats don't mean ****, it's about WINNING.

Russell was the ultimate selfless man, he prioritized WINNING. :yep

    Not grabbing stats.

    What happened in 69 then?

No excuse for that? Russell's Boston Celtics were way out of their prime against a primed up Lakers team with Wilt. And they still lost. :yep

I guess Robert Horry is one of the greatest then since he has plenty of rings. Russell was on a better team. Basketball is a team sport and the better team will usually win.

Exactly, he was the ultimate team player and prioritized making his team better

    Wilt wasn't the same.

Horry is one of the greatest clutch shooters ever, but he was a benchwarmer mostly. Horrible comparison.

"The Lakers can't beat us, it's not something that can happen" :happy

Kareem was great and a super cool guy but not at shooting 3 pointers, guess how many he made in his career.

Horry has more rings than Jabbar. I guess he is greater than Jabbar according to your logic.

2 star players, Russell vs Wilt, greatest rivalry ended in a 11-2 beatdown.

Horry and Kareem wasn't a rivalry, they never played against one another. :hi:

Kareem was a starter, Horry was someone who went from team to team and got lucky that the teams he went to won championships. :nono

I know I am wasting my time with you but here's my last try. If you look at the all-stars that Russell played with on the Celtics for most of his career and the players that Wilt played with, then it would have been obvious why Russell won more championships. The one good Philadelphia team Wilt played on walked over the Celtics.

Bad comparison...... Horry never affected the way the game was played.... Russell changed the game. Horry changed teams...

Go look at 69, perfect example of a much more powerful team who lost to Bill in his last series.

Bill had a better team sure he did in the earlier years!!!

But Wilt got smacked up, again and again and again and again and again and again. :rofl

No way can you say Wilt > Russell.

Russell was a genius, and made his team way better.

If Wilt had Russell's team and vice versa, I still say Bill would have won more championships. That's the greatness of Bill. :thumbsup

I'm the guy who is standing up for Russell, go talk to CSLB.

He's the one comparing Horry to Bill.

Bill is only below Jordan, he's #2 GOAT
