ROFL look at this Wilt***ual lying to himself, trying to convince us WILT > RUS. :rofl Wilt's great but he's not on that level. 11 rings bud in that era, Wilt was eating dust almost every year. :hey
Okay. If you were picking a center for a team today, who would you pick. The 7'1" Chamberlain, who was probably the best athlete to play basketball, or the 6'9" Russell, who was smaller than Magic Johnson.
True. I was referring to Horry... Russell changesd how coaches dealt with the transition game as well as the standard 2-1-2 half court set keeping both guards above the perimeter. This Russell changed at least among Laker defenses under Van Bredekoff...
Russbhe makes his team so much better and was a beast defensively. He's also a leader and was a coach too
So you would pick the 6'9"(probably not that tall) Russell to be your center over Wilt in the current game? lmao! I am outta here.
its funny because #2, #4 and #5 all think he carefully picks fights against previously softened, past prime opposition, and are sure they would beat him.
What does that have to do with anything. He has the most MVP awards out of all centers and the second most rings. He is the all time points scored leader by a wide margin. He is a legend in both the NBA and NCAA with 6 and 3 championships respectively. Perfected the hook shot and made it his own with the sky hook. Like what more do you want from a player.
Yes of course 5 can beat him. There is weightclasses for a reason. As for JCC... Floyd eats him up in his prime. Duran is a Close one but I pick floyd 116-112.
No he didn't. Wilt is the only person to ever lead the league in assist and points at the same time too this day. Whenever people said Wilt couldn't do something nog only did he prove them wrong but he did even better then what they thought was impossible. Give and NBA player 48 minutes and he still couldn't drop 100 on a top tier high school team. Only reason Kobe got close is because the Raptors kept fouling him even though he does not miss free throws. Wilt has led the league in Points, Rebounds, Assist, Blocks, and everyone has said he would have led in steals had they recorded it at the time. They literally created rules to make him less effective.
Hard to tell with Duran vs Floyd. This is assuming both men go into the fights with zero injuries issues (so you can remove the JLC 1 fight as sole evidence against Floyd winning.) Roberto was actually a very underrated boxer with good defense, good head movement and elite power. He did have trouble with guys who wouldn't stand their ground with him and kept boxing him from a distance with good lateral movement. I'd favor Floyd in that match since he's elite at these attributes. He'd have to be super cautious for every 3 minutes of each round; make a concerted effort not to be pressed on the ropes or in the middle of the pocket for too long. I saw Leonard utilize a strategy that I think Floyd would absolutely employ in a match with the great Duran. Heck, even Benitez (a guy I think Floyd would beat,) was also able to outbox Duran but in a completely different manner from how SRl Did in their second match in New Orleans.
I meant pound for pound wise but I can see how that could have been misinterpreted. Also, i don't agree with you that Floyd beats Duran and JCC in their respective primes, mainly because I do not see Floyd fighting them until their primes are over.
