The Oscar fight wasn't in the cards but don't try to deflect Margo was a bigger name then Baldimor in every way shape or form and you know it but hey he didn't fight to prove who the best was..Ironic he calls himself tbe saying **** like that

I don't blame Floyd for, chasing a title I blame him for trying to fool the fans into thinking he is greater than he proclaims to be when he ducked legitimate challenges when they were presented to him!

I'm not mad as to what he's earned more power to him but don't make yourself out be a guy like Ali or Leonard when your actions prove your not in their class !

    :good

Here is the thing though... floyd Eats fighters like Margo for breakfast. There was no reason for him to fight Margo. Margo did not have the lineal title the CB had and he did not have the name either. To top that off one of them was with HBO and the Other was with showtime and neither was a big enough name to make a copromotional event happen. If Floyd fought Margo people would just list him as one of the slow plodding mexican that he has cherry picked and beaten.

Eats them for breakfast really Margo was a big ww with a big frame..Did he eat Castillo alive ?

The lineal title is nonsense im so sick of hearing that ****,when the lineal champ wasn't even the best ww in the division !

But like I said before he was good enough for Cotto,Clotty ,Pacquio Mosley and Williams to fight but for some magic reason it's now pre determined that that against Mw

No one knew who he was

He would, have been passed off as a plodder
    :patsch

He was also offered around that time a fight with WInky Wright the 154 lb champ..You telling me Baldimor was more credible than Wright ?

You know what, i am not going to argue because you're right. Floyd was a beast at 130 and 135 and he did chase big names and tough fights.

He only turned ***** at 140 and up

JLC is lightyears more skilled than Margo man come on. Margo isn't good on top of that he's a disgraced cheat who never had a win of note after being exposed for cheating.

Is he really light years  that's a stretch ..but again he also wasn't as big as Margaito lets talk divisions it's much different fighting Castillo below 140 then fight Mariti at WW when he campaigned between 147 and 154..But that cheating **** happens yrs later ..

Ok and guess what Floyd beat all those guys who fought and beat Margo (except Williams). Also that's Great brining up the JLC fight when floyd was injured. You know what happened when the fought when floyd was 100%? Clear victory for Floyd. Once again you keep ignoring the fact that they were under separate broadcasters. Also the lineal and WBC titles mean a lot more to fighters then the WBO title.

Oh and that statement about winky wright is a Lie. Winky started fighting at 160 from 2005 on and less the a year after the Baldor fight had a fight at 170. Winky was way too big to fight Floyd who to this day has never weighed more then 152 pounds.

Know you place and play your position young buck. The stupidity your spewing is killing any credibility you hope to have on this forum. No one will take you seriously talking that nonsense.

I think the bigger issue they keep ignoring is Floyd had just bought out his contract with top rank. Bob Arum was only going to make a fight with "options" no way Floyd was going for that. Think about why Floyd only fought one fighter with top rank since leaving that promotion, and we know how much work that took. People that hate Floyd like to say it's "cherry picking" but they ignore the politics. I don't blame him for not fighting top rank fighters. Anyways, margarito brought nothing to the table. He was a nothing win for pacman that only increased his legacy because he was gifted a title (his "8th") for beating him. It's like saying Matthew Hatton was a great legacy fight for Canelo because he was gifted his title for that victory.

I hope soo. This jackass said credibility on a forum like that's some **** I really care for in life. Yeah the Robinson may have been a little far but I don't doubt floyd could have beaten him atleast least 2 times out of ten. Realistically I would give him as much as 4 wins. 6 if I'm being really generous. Oh and btw WTF does my length of time have to do with my boxing knowledge? Have have been watching for years and boxing for years. Withing the next year and a half I will hold my first amateur title. You people on here act like SRR was untouchable when in fact he lost to JAKE ****ING LAMOTTA. Like miss me with that bull ****. Every other thing I said I stand by. Floyd at 130 is the GOAT and if he stayed at 135 would have been an ATG there.

I don't ignore anything I have followed his career since he turned pro .

The lineal titles don't mean **** when the guy holding them isn't the best guy in the division the fighter makes the belt not the other way around ..Look at this way who would you consider the best light heavy weight out ? Kovalev or Stevenson?

But forget the belts Baldimor didn't elevate his legacy but the same Margarito who is a no one in Floyd's world sure did allot for Mosley ..I mean the hypcrsisy is reduclous here !

So it was a lie regarding Winky huh

    Here is the article

And would have been at 154

You said around the time of the Baldomir fight which was in late 06. This is from a year before that. Your telling me it would be a fair fight too have Floyd a guy who just moved up from 140 too fight Winky a guy who just fought at 160? People love to criticize floyd for **** other boxers would never go for. Floyd is bigger now then he was back then yet his max weight is only 152. Idek if he could get to 150 back then. And for the last time. When the Baldomir fight happened Floyd was on the outs with top rank as he just bought out his contract. I'm not saying that Margo is a nobody I'm saying if floyd took and won the fight he would just get criticized for it. Don't put words in my mouth.

Margo being a big welterweight didn't keep Shane Mosley from beating his azz, it didn't stop Pac from beating his azz, it didn't stop Cotto from dishing out severe punishment even though he loss the first fight, what makes you think that Floyd, who has dominated fighters as heavy as 165, would have any difficulty with slow, predictable, plodding Margarito??!!
