This is the absolute truth in all of FMJ fights. Must suck when your own company is promoting the event and you get boed at you own event.

Nobody even likes FMJ except for Ellerbe and whoever is yelling T-B-E...

:rofl I bet you, like Floyd, can't even at grade school level, let alone a tertiary psych book. Manny acted the same as he does in every staredown - aloof and bashful because he thinks they are beneath him. Not that it matters, because staredowns don't mean anything when the bell rings. But the fact remains PBF has no idea who he is at the moment.

LOL! Floyd seems confused. Feels like he was in his hometown opponent.

Are you serious? Floyd never got the respect he deserves? FOTD should have been floyd?

Manny had only 3 losses in the 2000s, Faced better opposition and sure as hell did not fake retire when his division was hot.. The voting for the BWAA was a landslide for Manny. Floyd is jealous sure, but definately aint more deserving than manny. Compare floyd and Pacs resumes.. and take note of the weight jumping.

Goes to show you're not American. You are correct Uncle Tom was a good guy. He was portrayed as a martyr. During the civil rights era this martyrdom was seen as bad and subservient. People wanted heroes like Nat Turner. Meek people who want to pray for enemies of the race/movement were seen as sellouts. Uncle Tom has since taken the form as the epitome of being a sell out. It does seem like a bit of a hypocrisy after all MLK the symbol of the civil rights movement has a lot in common with Uncle Tom. They were both martyrs who prayed for people who hated them.

Of course he has come to expect his share of boos. Although, he probably thought there'd be more fan appreciation, considering these guys have finally stepped up and made the fans happy. And he was instrumental in making the fight happen.

He's not and won't ever be loved by most. But, the fans respect him. He's never been bottled in the ring after a fight, or had full cups and bottles flying at him while entering or exiting, that I have ever seen (see Broner after the Maidana fight). And he's mobbed for autographs by all types of people, not just his fans.

It's actually Manny who is uncomfortable with fans' displeasure. He is not used to it. See his reaction after the 3rd Marquez fight. Particularly, when that bottle came flying in the ring. LOL.
