i don't think thats fair to compare pac to floyd as far marketing oneself...if floyd lived in the Philippines he wouldn't be able to be "everywhere" b/c of the language barrier and its just not his homeland. it is up to pac's promoters to promote the fight better.

Actually he would do better than Pac in the US because...

    1. Many Filipinos understand and speak basic English where many Americans can do not speak or understand any other language except English (although it is a country of immigrants).

    2. Filipinos, actually a lot of other countries, are much more open to foreign celebrities than Americans are.

But Pac is a boxer. Celebrity status is just a bonus to his boxing achievements. I am not really bothered he is not in the talk show circuit. The fight is in a month and he should be training hard. Clottey is not somebody you underestimate - going on talk shows, giving sound bites for your agenda and etc.
PBF can do it as he has time before the Mosley fight and he loves the limelight and he seems to be motivated to keep pressing the drug testing issue (making it sound like it is a higher calling).

All roads in boxing lead to Floyd Mayweather. You should have seen the awe and star struck look on the faces of the NBA analysts & celebs interviewing Money. They know they were lucky to have arguably the greatest fighter of all time bless them with his presence.

yes this is exactly what we need young and upcoming boxers to aspire to, no wonder the sports becoming full of ***gots who are more worried about their how they look than going to war
