GGG?? That's a bit extreme....Floyd is a Welterweight at best. Pac and Thurman are good fights....More PAC than Thurman but Keith has all the right things going for him...he's undefeated, he's young, green and holds a title. An interim title but still...I think Keith would secure a fight with Floyd before Manny......obviously.

I like that fight. I think if Thurman can get a decent name as his next opponent and look good....Keith might be getting a call that lands him the Mayweather fight in 2015. I don't think Keith has the tools to beat Floyd at this stage of his career but it only takes "One time".

That's why people say "he has the style/chance to trouble Mayweather" and not "he had the chance to bat Mayweather".. Have you also noticed when they pick a fighter against Floyd they go to the extreme like "he will knock Floyd out" or "Floyd would be in defence mode all fight because xxx will throw nonstop punches for 12 rounds and won't get tired"..

People tend to go with what's popular.. Calling Floyd a "coward" had gone mainstream and was never really used before.. Now it's overused.. Hating Floyd is like hating Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, and ****** Bieber.. You don't know why you don't do you go with what everyone else says...

Imo Mayweather has faced 3 credible foes that going in I thought had a credible chance to gain victory. Those are the 2nd Castillo fight since Castillo gave him so much hell the first time.

The Hatton fight. Hatton had the pressure style and body attack that could trouble Mayweather. My hindsight say's now that Collazo softened Hatton up for Mayweather as Hatton was just a tap away from getting KTFO in the final round by Collazo but survived.

Canelo Alvarez,a fighter multi-skilled and who was much younger and bigger than Mayweather.

Those are the 3 matchups that are credible under the circumstances.

Ironically the guy who was given no chance of beating him kicked his ass all over the ring this past saturday.

Floyd has faced plenty of good fighters through his career. Maybe not some of the matches we wanted but how many fighters have fought everyone. You can pick about any fighter then poke holes in their choices. Best wins IMO best wins canelo, cotto, both who have kept winning after their fights, Corralles, Hatton, Mosley, Marquez
Castillo. Opponents that were solid fighters who came to win Gatti RIP, Manfredy, Hernandez, Chavez who brought a ton of pressure, Judah, Maidana.
Others worthy of mentioning the usually hard to fight shamba Mitchell, Corley, Sosa, Baldimir, Guerro, Corley. He also a few more fighters their first loss. Another key point many people miss is Floyd has never been big he still weighs 152 and under. Most fighters of today weigh 15-25 more pounds on fight night. With that in mind He could still fight at 130-135 an rehydrate to 150 on fight night. Examples canelo, Chavez, Ortiz, and many more.

Good fighters he has faced, but no great ones, at least not in terms of their in-ring condition at the time, and he hasn't faced too many style problem matchups either throughout his career. One needs to only look at the previous generation's PPV star De La Hoya that Floyd got the passing of the torch from to see a far superior resume of opposition, much less other ATG fighters like Ali, SRL, etc. Even in his own era, his biggest PPV rival Pacquiao you can make a strong case for having a better resume and taking on harder style matchups. That is what holds Floyd back, he's an ATG already, but he could have maybe contended for "TBE" in reality instead of just the empty words he puts out along those lines had he fought better competition.

The argument could be made the same about pac for or against. One could also say that he got his wins in the twilights of people's careers or that Mayweather beat his arch nemesis quite easily. But then people can turn to the weight issues of both fighters in their matches. I agree that Pac and Floyd are both great fighters. But see Mayweather winning. However the Maidana fight does bring up questions. Has Floyd reached his jones vs Tarver moment? I would like to see Floyd vs Pac even though they have both lost a step.
