Floyd won't be slowed by age nearly as much as the average fighter. Fighters like him, (Mosley, B-hop, JMM included) who do not let themselves go and that are always in good shape tend to last longer. Plus, they know how to box to compensate for any physical losses with mental assets. Floyd knows how to box, incase you had not noticed.
For the record I am a PBF fan and I do not think this decline is major, but I can see it clearly. I expect him to win still since JMM is too far removed from his natural weight. I do think we will see floyd get hot more in this fight than we have in the past, watch for it.
atsch Since when are you a Floyd fan? You'll go AWOL after this fight like all the rest of the haters.:deal
I dont normally respond to dumb ass noobs who have as many posts as i have and havent even been on the board for a full month. I have been on here since before the wipe 5 years ago. Now go **** yourself noobie and stop posting unless you can contribute to the discussion
You can't ****ing tell from a ****ing 24/7 episode... but even if he has it's understandable because he's in his 30's now so a loss of speed is to be expected.
This is a pretty good point, but really, the speed and reflexes go first as a rule. It has to do with what age does to the body: The joints aching up, arthritis, and the damage a boxing career does to the brain slows it down. As the body breaks down and gets older, it gets less explosive. Whereas muscles, where strength is, can be sustained if the work is done.
taking a collective crap in your boxing shorts will make you a lot slower. This is after you see the God on Earth that is Manny Pacquiao staring at you from across the ring.:hey
Hatton looked like lightning on his 24/7 with Pacquiao. 24/7 does whatever it can to make it look like a 50/50 fight.
he didnt look slower to me. slower in what where? on the pads? he did look bigger to me so maybe the extra muscle made him a little slower but i really didnt notice anything
