As was pointed out, Floyd went straight for the lineal champ at LWW (Hatton) and made a mega fight with ODLH after that.

You can find fault with it if you want, but Cotto wasn't on the level yet and Marg was about to get beat by Williams. I mean damn, cause the stars didn't line up perfect, Mayweather is held accountable and viewed as ducking?? C'mon son.

Since we're going by ring magazine, Baldomir was their champion when Mayweather fought him. Genaro Hernandez, Castillo, and De La Hoya were all rated no.1 in their divison when Mayweather fought them. So according to Ring Magazine, he's beaten the best guy out there in 4 out of the 5 divisions in which he's competed.

Here's another thing, Mayweather has two claims to the lineal title at 147. He's also won the IBF, and WBC titles there, and has beaten the current WBA titleholder. He also has beaten, 5 top 10 rated WWs(4 were rated in th top 3).

in 2006 margarito was a no name, Zab and Baldoir names was bigger, 2007 he fougt Dlh way bigger name more money better fighter, he fought hatton another bigger fight, he was retired plus after he beat hatton roach said he needed more time to prepare manny for floyd so it was not floyd. Floyd resume is legit what hurt the margarito fight was his lost to williams and top rank, margarito was the longest reigning welterweight champion he had a belt before zab or baldomir he should have fougt either one and the floyd fight would have happen. Cotto got just beat out by a legend in the sport wo wouldn't wanna fight Oscar you would be stupid not to take that fight.

    Floyd could've fought:

    Tszyu
    Cotto
    Margarito
    Williams
    Younger Mosley
    Pacquiao

    Floyd did fight:

    Gatti
    Sharmba Mitchell
    Judah
    Baldomir
    Hatton (lww at ww)
    Marquez(lw at ww)
    Older Mosley
    Ortiz

Only an irrational ***** fanboy can even try to defend this exquisite cherrypicking and ducking mode of opponent selection. :rofl

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road." :deal

Man please post information that we don't know, everyone knows Floyd is out to get money and he's a p4p fighter, we can't currently say that about marg and cotto, he will always be viewed as a better boxer than both...

Floyd haters have been talking about the same **** for years please let's move on fellas...

you are lying stop Margarito was a cheater
Floyd called out Tszyu and Tszyu ducked him

Mosley got called out and he ducked floyd.

Floyd said he would fight cotto Arum said he "was not ready" and cotto never dared to say Floyds name

    Manny wont take the test.

Williams is the only person with any gripe but nobody knew his name and you could not make a big fight with him.
