He improved his resume at WW drastically by fighting Ortiz and Shane. Truth is that he is so ****ing inactive that he can not beat everybody when he fights at most once a year and he needs tune ups....

The simple question is whether he faced the best out there. No buts, if!

If looking at his resume and you believe that fighting baldomir, hatton, jmm, Hoya, Ortiz constitute the best resume possible, then so be it.

However, leaving aside your man-love for gayweather, would you be able to constitute another what-if resume better than that, while disregarding underlying circumcumstances?

Then he did not faced the best welterweights!

Just as PAC did not face the best welterweight because there is one glaring name absent in his resume - duckweather.

There was no champion at 154, but he was the no.1 rated fighter.

Zoo didn't duck Floyd. It was an impossible fight to be made.

not so sure about that you could promote Williams as a freak of nature and sell the fight quite well... At that point he had his aura of invincibility I won't be surprised if Pac or Floyd kick his lanky ass eventually if he get's past the Lara rematch which I doubt

I actually think its hard to market a fight with two black guys when one is not known to the general public. Who would be the bad guy in that fight?

Mosley was regarded as the #1 WW when Mayweather beat him. Judah would have been the top rated WW when Mayweather fought him but he lost to Baldomir. Baldomir should have been rated the top WW since he beat the top WW and was the lineal champ but most people believe Margarito was better then him so Margarito gets the nod as the top WW even though he never beat a top WW to earn it. edit(until Cotto)

Floyd would definitely play the bad guy.

Paul isn't a flamboyant ****-talker. But he's a little chippy at times, and I honestly think if Floyd had pulled that "grab neck" **** against Petey, there would have been some **** goin down.

Floyd's bodyguards don't want none of the crew from Aiken, SC baby! :bbb:bbb:bbb

A rich black guy vs a black guy who mumbles is just not a good fight to promote. Floyd understands this. White casual fan has no reason to watch that fight.

I used to rant all the time on this site about Floyd, Cotto, Shane, and other fighters who were ducking my boy. But after w hile you just accept the fact that he's just not as marketable because of his lack of fanbase and unwillingness to do outlandish **** to draw attention to himself.
