Who said Hatton had to come in weighing 147 at the weigh-in?

Hatton can easily cut weight to 140-142ish to make himself fight like hes at 140.

Floyd gains nothing for beating an undefeated fighter who has won a title in the weight class they're fighting at? Take a walk.

Thats not what Eze is arguing.

I think he is saying that Floyd doesnt have an advantage due to the weight they are fighting at.

No No! Lol I mean Floyd has no benefit over Hatton by fighting him at 147 rather then 140.

So all those people saying Floyd is making Hatton come up in weight cause hes afraid.

WHO SAYS Hatton has to weigh 147 at the weigh in. He can easily come in at 140.

    :good

I have no problem with the fight being at 147lbs. Floyd just fought at 154lbs, so he shouldnt have to go down to 140lbs.

If Hatton wants to make it to the bigs, he just has to take it the way it comes. I dont see a great such as Duran complaining about the weight.

Both fighters are the same size and will weigh in the same on fight night. Hatton will be a little heavier. NO excuses for either fighter. You have to use your common sense. **** the weigh in. I go by the fighting weight.

Exactly. Floyd would be coming down 2 classes.

While Hatton simply is going up, even then he doesn't have to add that weight if he doesn't want too. And you are right, Duran never complained about it.

Duran was the origional Hatton(and I'm not refering the their talent). I was watching a special on he and SRL. Apparently Duran balloned up to around 220 after the first fight with SRL. I guess he was Ricky's role model in more ways than one.

I mean Mosely came up from 135lbs DIRECTLY to 147lbs to fight a very prime Oscar and took the fight to him.

Its all about self belief and bringing your fight to the ring. Hatton just has to suck it up and perform.

I agree to an extent. The problem is that if Hatton comes in at 147lbs, we've seen that his stamina is worse there, and if he comes in lower, he is giving up size.

That said, I think he should give up the few pounds and just come in lower and go all out the entire fight. This needs to be a pure war of attrition if he wants to win.

Duran's food and alcohol binges were legendary.

Also legendary were his sadistic training schedules to keep the fat off.

if Mayweather had fought at 140 he would have had a disadvantage having to lose some muscle mass to make the weight limit and therefore Hatton would have an easier time imposing his strength and pace on Mayweather, which is probably Hatton's gameplan.

I think its a considerable factor. If Mayweather beats the **** out of Hatton then it won't matter anyways but if its a very close fight like 7 rounds to 5 or SD then people will talk about it of course.

    just my 2 cents.
