Bull****. You dont want to own up to certain parts of your culture fine. But dont exaggerate everything the "urban" crowd does in America. The fact that your "old man" is on a anti hooliganism team means you got a lot of thugs there. Calling Hagler a ****? Brave from the safety of your keyboard IMO. Minter said he wasnt losing to a black man and then Hagler got doused in beer but i guess he deserved it.

You forgot Don Curry (vs Colin Jones).

    * They sang Tszyu's name after the Hatton fight actually.

What about the crowd throwing stuff at Johnny Owen and singing "DOA" to Kid Akeem as both were carried away to have brain surgery?

:patsch somebody needs some reading lessons, go back and read that part of my post again.

i never rejected the notion of yob culture and hooligans in my country. hardcore hooliganism these days is mostly confined to the lower leagues, and sadly this means the press don't pay much attention to it.

I'll admit i dont know wtf youre tallking about but if youre telling me those were UK fighters that got treated badly in the states then thats fcked up. However this proves that no one side is better than the other and your culture has no moral high ground to judge Floyd and his fans.

Fail to see why Hatton swearing is considered at all newsworthy. Its something most brits do all the time and neary an eyebrow raised.

Truth is not all americans are treated like **** in the UK (Corrales got a big cheer when introduced at the Hatton/KT fight) but there is a big culture clash when american fighters collide with working class brits. We have no tolerance of anyone who we percieve as 'bigging themselves up' or taking themselves too seriously.

As for treating Kostya Tzyu badly he's an Aussie and you should hear the way they treat us pommes! People hear are being prissy and should suck it up and stop whingeing as its getting a little bit sad really.

By far the worst trolling attempt to stick it to Floyd in your posting history Lance.

    Nice excuse. Seriously.

indeed. i remember hearing simons jones (english cricketer) talking about when he got seriously injured on the 2002-2003 ashes tour during the first test. as he was being carried off the ground and up the stairs to the dressing room all he heard were comments such as 'get up you weak pommie ****'. the bloke was out for around 18 months and his career almost ended.

his revenge was sweet though :yep

the english-aussie thing has always been good natured but every now and then spills over into something a bit more nasty.

Is it dude. If you've never been there, don't act like you know. I'm not saying it completely alright, but cursing used in context isn't as big a deal as it is over here. Much like nudity, they don't seem to make as big a fuss. Saying the F word while your talking isn't as bad as acint like a schmuck and calling people *****. Quit being a ****in fanboy for ONCE...

Thanx for proving my point, Brits! When you use profanity its a part youre "working class" character or its bcuz of your rivalry with Australia but floyd acts like a fool on occasion its bcuz of his immaturity.

like i said in my first post on this thread, it's a culture thing. flashy people who show off their wealth etc. are far more offensive in this country than somebody casually swearing, swearing on tv really isn't a big issue over here. it seems to be the opposite on the other side of the atlantic.

Please don't think these guys speak for all Americans. Some have never been out of the ghetto let alone the country to expereince different cultures.
