    Why?

    1. 90% of boxing fans would say Pac deserves bigger share
    2. Floyd has lost the respect of fight fans after JMM 147 debacle
    3. Pac has achieved more than Floyd to date
    4. Pac is definately p4p champ
    5. Floyd retired to avoid Cotto, Pac fought Cotto
    6. Floyd doesnt command large PPV without top opposition
    7. If Floyd refuses to fight for 50% fans will call him a ducker forever
    8. IRS are on his tail and his large family need money
    9. Pac doesnt need to fight Floyd anymore to maintain p4p status
    10. Floyd is getting older and can't delay Pac fight

    will add to this list

No ones sure if he avoided Cotto but the fact that PAC fought Cotto first basically tainted Floyd. Arum is an evil genius. The magnitude of that is something Floyd hasnt realized yet and in the coming months during negotiations he'll find out the full effect

#1: He NEEDS Pac, Pac DOESNT need him. Pac doesnt need the money or respect from a Floyd fight at this stage. PBF cant make anymore money vs anyone else even at only taking the 50-50 split, and PBF is ALL AND ONLY ABOUT $$$$.

Pac is in the drivers seat for this one and PBF knows it. The Cotto win completely negated any bargaining power PBF may have thought he had. When the PPV #'s are verified, it will just be another point against PBF getting anymore then 50-50.

4 Fights: Diaz/ODH/Hatton/Cotto, with 4 KO's!!! People are watching Pacman now because he is exciting and just made history. PBF is looking smaller next to him in terms of accomplishments, especially after the JMM debacle.

DING DING DING...Ultimately if this fight fails to come off, Floyd will suffer as a result and not Pac.

Why not have a winner takes 55/45 cut or 60/40 cut? I think it would be the best way

If Pac decides to fight the Shane/Berto winner instead (since Floyd obviously wants no part of a fight with Shane), wins and then retires (very possible as the elections in the philippines are happening next year) where does that leave Floyd?

Pretty much screwed. Oh sure he'd make some money fighter the rest of the fighters at WW, but no one of consequence will be left to fight, and that would hurt Floyds reputation big time. He has to fight Pac, even if it's a 50/50 split, otherwise he puts himself in a position where he could lose a whole lot of respect...

It would be the best "**** you" to Floyd if Pac just decides to wait for the winner of Berto/Mos and fights for those belts. If he won that and retired, IT WOULD BE SO GREAT to leave Floyd in the dust and as a second thought like a 2bit hooker that you didnt pay. Paybacks are a *****, Mayweather is both a ***** and has lots of paybacks due.

Floyd in not #1 WW, not #1 p4p and doesn't even hold the belt ...
he should get no more than other challengers fighting for the title, 33% max!!!

    1. 90% would say it should be 50/50
    2. Since when has PBF lost respect after the JMM fight. Its regarded as a great performance v a top fighter
    3. I'll give you that
    4. I'll give you that
    5. Floyd didnt avoid Cotto
    6. Before the JMM fight people were saying this and also predicting that PBF v JMM would flop at the PPV. Over 1 mil buys says PBF is a draw.
    7. If either fighter doesnt budge then both will be blamed. Stop going on like PBF is the only one who may demand more than 50%
    8. Stop hating.
    9. Pac needs the fight just as much as PBF. Pacman may be #1 but people will still argue that he never beat PBF
    10. Floyd is fresh. Yeah his over 30 but come on lets be real. His got plenty left in the tank.

Dude, every boxing analyst/commentator/guru and most fans, knew this was a mismatch. If Pac fought JMM right now at 144, it would be a mismatch disadvantage again for JMM. He HAD NEVER fought at that weight. Floyd was looking for an easy comeback fight against a name opponent, so he could name drop and have a favorable connection in fighters fought vs Pacman, since he lost the edge when you compare ODH and Hatton as common opponents. He knows exactly what he is doing: Path of least resistance, most $$$, best opponenet to give PERCEPTION that you are fighting the best and are the best.

And how many thought PBF would deal with him so easily?
