he likes to counter off their misses. hes not really putting his whole body into it like he did with tree

When Floyd sits on his punches he does have power. He rarely does it though. Ortiz has a Glass Jaw that had more to do with it than Mayweathers Power.
His power is just above average. What gives it a better effect is the timing and accuracy. Ortiz is bad example. The guy is virtually a free shot it and took two full forced shots to take him down. Let's all be honest here, if he had the power you people are dreaming about, his accuracy and plus his timing would've produced devastating stoppages of Judah, Baldomir, Corley, Castillo among others and Hatton, Corrales would be out in half the time.
Mosley aslo said Marquez would go down once Pac touched him.Ill take what Mosley says with a grain of salt
his power is definitely underrated. he hurt mosley several times and he put cotto on ***** street with a single punch. an uppercut i believe. very good power at 147. his accuracy makes his power more effective.
I don't see many people refering to him as being feather fisted. He's not a KO artist, he's got average/good power and most people know that. There's nothing surprising about a boxer with his talent being able to KO a guy who's not even watching. Like they say, it's the shot that you don't see coming that hurts the most. Pacquiao's got that stinging kind of power that you can notice in most of his fight. Look at Barrera and Marquez in the first round of their 1st fights against Pacman. They didn't expected those kind of shots. Pacquiao's got a great snap on that straight left. Edit : Another thing I wanted to add : Mayweather is the most talented boxer of his generation (some would say Roy Jones Jr). If he had great power, this thread would not exist because imagine what a guy with elite timing and precision (like he has) would do with great power. He would've KOed way more guys.
Using his KO of Ortiz as proof of his power? Still the same ol Cellz... If you wanted to make an ACTUAL point, you could have used his fight vs. Shane. He didn't drop or KO him, but his power kept Shane at bay from rounds 2 on.
Floyd has good power when he wants to use it he can. His style is not based on power and taking unnecessary risks to land a bomb.
above average power...maybe more than people give him credit for but he shouldn't be known for his power or anything
