A guy like Cotto has extremely overrated power as a result of people denying credit where credit is due. The myth that Money does not have any power is mind boggling and has continued since it rolled out of some so called boxing expert's mouth.

As a result, Money May has the most underrated power because of his style of punishing opponents before KOing them. Money rarely puts everything behind his punches, but when he does open up he staggers bigger, stronger fighters and knocks them out/down with ease.

Speed kills and equates to power.

A good example of him being able to put moar torque behind his punches is the 2nd rd KD of Marquez. He didn't like it when Marquez barely grazed his face with a right hand against the ropes a few seconds before that.

Why he doesn't he commit moar to his punches? The world will never know for sure. I think he doesn't load up to make it harder to counter him therefore not taking unnecessary damage and to slow down the deterioration his weak hands as much as possible.

I don't know if severely underrated but it's underrated though because several of his opponents say he hits harder than they thought.

Was on the verge of koing Judah had he not been low blowed and a riot broke out.
    Buckled Oscar's knees numerous times.
Could have taken out Marques anytime he wanted to. He just wanted to get some rounds in after being retired and inactive.

He can`t knock out a light weight such as Marquez and could not hurt an old DLH.
I doubt that he can even hurt a 39 years old Mosley.

Bull! everyone recognises that Mayweather does not have devastating one punch KO power but has decent power and could potentially TKO many fighters at 147 with a flurry or series of combinations.

He can buzz you and follow it up and take advantage if your slightly dazzed because he has fast hands and throws accurate punches.

I never heard anyone say that Mayweather is feather fisted but he is definitely not what I would consider a big puncher in the sense he could KO an alert fighter with one punch.

he wont be able to even phase Shane... he had power at 130 and even 135 but north of that he relies more on timing

    please get off his nuts

I'd say Floyd has average power at best fighting at ww. When you consider how far up in weight he's come, his power display at ww, and his history of hand problems, for one to suggest that his power is anything more than average would be rather dubious claim.
