The only thing the ******ed thread starter knows about boxing is Floyd Mayweather so is only natural that he thinks Floyd is the best at everything in the sport.

he recuperates well and has great defense. a decent chin wouldn't have you worried about single clean shots all the time.

he doesnt get hit on his chin enough to say he has a great chin....maybe a good chin though or solid i guess.

I remember how amazed i was when i watched this fight live and saw that punch land and i've been just as amazed everytime i've seen it since. The sound that the impact of that punch made made it seem like it could have brought down the building, but it didn't bring down Klitschko. Imagine if the other Klitschko brother would have had to take that punch LOL

disagree that de la hoya ever landed that much on floyd to say that Floyd could take a de la hoya left hook flush on the chin.
Mayweather rolls with punches and has great defence by the time de la hoya did land he'd missed so many punches he wouldnt have the same strength as usual
Always thought de la hoya lost that fight clearly and being irish am as neutral as you can get.

If that would be true, it would mean he's very overrated.
He has been in trouble muliple times (already mentioned in this thread), what should mean he was saved by his granite chin instead of his skills.

    I call bullsh#t on that!
Floyd has a very decent chin, but nowhere near the best in boxing!

He has a great chin just like his Uncle.

They can take any punch thrown by a woman.

Didn't he get stunned one time by Chop Chop Corley though? How can this be?

    • He rarely gets hit clean (this also means less wear and tear over his career)
    • When he does get hit he knows how to roll with the punch to limit damage
    • His balance is pretty good so when he takes a punch he is usually balanced.
With that said i will agree his chin is good. But not great. Over his long career i have not seen him in what i could call a real war, taking shot after shot for 12 rounds, but thats purely becasue he makes his opponents look awful and they cant touch him for most of the fight.

Floyd, has never been down or hurt. V. Klit was stopped twice ( you know TKOed).Lennox Lewis hurt him several times in that fight. Over 3 decades and never been cut, bruised, busted or knocked down is INCREDIBLE. If Shane landed those same shots on any other welterweight they would have been knocked down if not out. Every time Floyd gets hit hard he comes stronger at his opponent so he a true warrior in that aspect. You *******S have a fighter in Pacman who's been knocked out twice and it should have been three times ( That Napel fighter knocked him down with a hard jab for 10 sec). The slow ref messed the count up. To be a 5 time world champion and 4 times Linear champ speaks volumes about a great chin as well as defensive abilities.
