I'm not saying he's the greatest, but he has the best skills of all time. I was salty after the Pacquaio loss because Pacquaio is my boy, but Floyd won. He didn't run, he just beat him. Was Pacquaio at his best? Probably not. But, even with Ariza in Pacquaio's corner, I still don't think he would be able to beat Mayweather. He could perhaps make it more competitive, but honestly, I don't know if anyone can beat a highly motivated Floyd Mayweather. Honestly, I don't even know if Hearns could beat him anymore. Floyd never fails to surprise me. I'm done betting against Floyd. It took me all day Saturday to recover. I was mad all day. I had a discussion with my boy though and he told me he was a big time Corrales fan and thought Corrales was unbeatable. He said, no way Floyd could beat Corrales. Then Floyd whupped Corrales and it hurt, but it makes you recognize greatness. Mayweather didn't run, he didn't hide. He did an excellent job. Love him or hate him, he may very well have the best skills of all time.
Honestly, I don't know if that's the case anymore. You would think that Hearns would have the ability to beat Mayeweather from a physical perspective, but I think Floyd is too smart. Floyd would find a way to win. Maybe GGG can beat Floyd, but Floyd is not a middleweight. If I had to pick two people that fought at welterweight that could beat Floyd, I'd say maybe Duran and Hearns. The only guy that I could say would beat Floyd with confidence is SRR and he's the greatest fighter of all time. SRR was an extremely smart fighter too.
I think SRL at his best would be favoured to beat Floyd, too, TJ. Floyd stays with just about everyone in the division's history, though...even if I don't think he beats all of 'em all the time.
Not sure if he has the best skills of all time. Certainly up there. Defensively, maybe, but offensively, I may favour SRR and SRL over him. As for Hearns, Floyd is the better fighter, legacy wise, but head to head, Hearns wins. Floyd isn't a true WW. In fact, most top WW aren't as most of them have moved up in weight to chase a Mayweather-Pac fight. Hearns was a physical monster at WW so I think he eventually catches up to Mayweather and hurts him quite badly. Because of Hearns physical advantages Floyd would box even more cautiously than he normally does, so even if Hearns can't find that KO blow he would probably win on points due to Floyd throwing to few punchers.
