But the flip side is I don't think Floyd would get knocked out cause Ward's got a pretty low KO rate.

And let's face it. SRL fought Hagler at middle, and then he fought at SMW.

Hearns made it all the way to Cruiser, Duran fought up to middle, and Greb fought Tunney for godsake. So it's a fight that Floyd would be the clear underdog, and it's not like others haven't gone down this path.

But yes, it maybe too much to ask, even from Floyd, it's too bad Ward wasn't at 154 or maybe even 160.

Wasn't great, but he was dangerous, had a pretty good record actually. But yes, he was winning ugly most of the time and he was a hard fighter to like, but I would say his record wasn't bad at all.

The argument isn't whether Ruiz was great or not, it's about a fighter testing himself to the limit, and whether you like Ruiz or not, it was a very good win for Jones.

I agree it was a big challenge for jones. I mean jones really is a natural 168 . So to go to 200 is a massive jump and its not the weight its the power at the heigher weight its far more dangeous for lil guys.

Respectfully, this is an apples to oranges comparison.

Not all fighters have the same frame and body composition.

Hearns going to cruiser has just about ZERO to do with how high Floyd could fight.

Floyd cant even get 154 for JR MW fight! He would need to lift weights to become a SMW.

In my opinion he made the right move to go up but he should not hav came down at that age 34 it really took alot out of him. And the rest is history. If roy stayed at hw snd even lost a few to the big names in good fights it eould only inhanse his legarcy not tarnish it

Floyd could get to 160 no problem its just floyd nos his idea condition to perform nd if he feel gaining will compromise this then he wont do it.

That's because SRR fought elite competition, Floyd's best opponent before the Canelo fight was Corales. You seem to have some problems with the concept of relativity, in the same way you think a fighter is a puncher or they're not. Matthysse was landing his best punches on Garcia with no effect, is Matthysse not a 'natural puncher' anymore?

"Can't bring Danny to mind, but unless he's fast as a whippet (hand 'n foot), he'll look like he stepped on the third rail if Lucas even nudges him with either hand."

Thank you,put forth a scenario that is impossible to happen :patsch

I would not even care what "fans" think ask boxers and trainers how they feel about Floyd and they will say yes... The whole don't even belong in the same sentence is the same rehashed thing to say

Dont talk with FLoyd haters. People will only understand how floyd lived in 20 years. The basic of boxing consist of hitting and not getting hit. Hes got the best stats of ALLL TIME in what the sport is about. I think thats saying a lil something but haters gotta hate. I say **** em all and enjoy the ride. We will not see % again like that soon.

I want to argue about it being too late for Floyd to elevate his resume significantly, but I can't think of anybody in the current crop around his weight that would be the realistic equivalent of a Hearns or a Duran, etc.

    Lara maybe?

    Serge @ 160?

Floyd seems like he was always focused on money anyway and he sure has done that.

How can Void be mentioned in the same breath as SRR when his most notable wins does not compare to others? His legacy and resume is left wanting compared to his other ATg contemporary Pac.
